Minority rights and Turkey

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby BC Numismatics » Sat Dec 22, 2007 4:18 am

Zan,I am not brain-washed.I am calling a spade a spade,as it were.I think it is YOU that needs to do some research from an INDEPENDENT source, not one that is biased in favour of either Greece or Turkey,as BOTH countries have a lot to answer for for using Cyprus as a pawn in their petty game.

I am sorry mate but you are just repeating what you have heard and have not even tried to quantify the Times and looked into how many Turks were butchered by he Armenians and in what circumstances. Have you read the book I recommended?????

BC Wikipedia should pay you for your services, but don't forget that anyone can write articles there even you, on the other hand the genocide issue is just another card other countries pull out every time they want Turkey to do something, no one really gives a shit to be honest, people have died but it was not an attempted genocide unlike the GC's poor attempt to wipe us out, and look what happened now? They are in the EU.

You have very distorted views on many matters regarding Turkey so i strongly suggest you take up Zans advice.

YOu do not need Wiki or any other book, just travel to the islands of Imvros and Tenedos then take the ferry to Kos and Rhodos, you can do the trip in two days and you will understand a lot about Turkey.

Imvros and Tenedos were 100 per cent Greek populated. Then Turkey decided to implement its nantionalist policies, intensifying the process through the 50s and 60 till there are less than 200 people, mostly old folks, left on the islands. As in Cyprus, Turkey brought people over from the mainland. It also established the only open prisons it has on the islands, allowing convicts to roam about freely. Property rights were severely curtailed.

Now go to Kos and Rhodos where Turks live under EU conditions, with their own businesses, dealing in property, with their own schools etc. The contrast is the best evidence of what misguided minds still living in the dark ages can do if allowed to have power. More amazing is that there are people who are prepared to defend this bullshit trying desperately to find excuses or rationalisations for these practices.

The TCs that left Cyprus went to get away from Turkey and its settlers.
