Izcan says that the Turkish Cypriots have become a minority in their own country
Turkish Cypriot daily Kibris newspaper (19.12.07) reports that Izzet Izcan, general secretary of the United Cyprus Party (BKP), visited yesterday the occupied Mia Milia village and said that population is brought to the occupied areas of the island under the pretext of “bringing working force”. He noted that the Turkish Cypriots have become minority in their own country and added: “By saying Turk comes Turk goes, they are trying to annihilate our community, our identity and our culture”.

if only t.c`s would do more to show turkey that she is not wanted and that you want to live with us under cypriot conditions not ankara conditions i`m sure together we could end this madness! but i wont hold my breath

Turkish Cypriots have NOT become a minority in their own country.

The TCs have ALWAYS been a minority in Cyprus.

What they did was steal half of Cyprus from the Cypriots, apportion themselves the riches left by the ethnically cleansed and briefly enjoyed their moment in the sun. BUT IT WAS NEVER THEIR OWN COUNTRY!

It is an illegally occupied section of Cyprus . . . NOT A COUNTRY!


All that is happening now, is the continued Turkification of part of the EU, first by 40,000 Turkish troops, now their settlers.

Did the TCs really think they could steal part of our country and enjoy it just for themselves forever?

Well Turkey has other plans, and the TCs have only themselves to blame for the predicament they have put us ALL in.

Having talked to a number of Turkish Cypriots in the past they are only to well aware of the situation.

Will they be accused of insulting Turkishness if they continue to make their feelings known ?

Although there are many TC's who left during the troubles far more have left since .

I would MUCH MUCH rather have a gazzilion more Turks in Cyprus than "unite" with people like phoenix thats for sure....and I'm serious!

If it's out of the two then living with millions of Turks is much better than living with a million Phoenix's, plus shes right we've always been a minority so it doesn't make a difference weather it's a Turkish majority or Greek and out the 2 I choose the Turks...

But of course part of the story makes you grin like the racist cheshire cat that you are....Of course nothing the GCs have done has contributed the fact. TCs a minority in a Turkish country or a GReek one.....I don't know what you are thinking but the Turkish one is the one that most TCs will pick every day of the year.......You are not allowing the option of a TC and GC Cypriot one on the table and then you gloat as your MPs do when talking about the Embargoes..........We are not allowed to survive as a nation that can work and produce products because of your embargoes and you blame the Turks for giving us the food we need and the medicines we need and the money we need.......What a sick minded individual you are and anyone that thinks like you... If you are so concerned then lift the Embargoes and stop blaming Turkey for what you started in 1963 and planned for long before then. Your way is not the only way.........

The GCs are not greedy for wanting their island back.

Those who are greedy are the Turks, who invaded our island for the sake of greed in the first place, and have always taken what is not theirs to take.

Now the Turk-TCs are moaning because they are going to lose out in becoming the prized Europeans that they aspire to . . . but Turkey will always be around you, haunting you, and reminding you who is your boss, where you have come from and what you are now . . . . subordinates to Turkey.

Cyprus, the RoC is the ONLY country that you are distancing yourself from more and more, with every act of Turkification that you honour.

Never FORGET you came with the Ottomans to Cyprus, to take what was not yours, and then you brought Turkey to Cyprus . . . and it will once again take what is ours . . . and what could have been yours too!
