Turkish Cypriots have become a minority in their own country

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Yes there was. Unfortunatly, you are one of these morons that think the actions of a few represent the whole community. Was there Turkish Cypriot humanity to Greek Cypriots between 1963-1974...or even before.

Of course there was . You guys packed them off to live in caves like shillo Turkos.
What makes me laugh. The Turks chose to live in caves themselves then blame such a thing on Greek Cypriots lol. Your all a bunch of liars - thats all you do with regards to history.

You and people like you were the bastards that ensured we were living in ghettos while you hijacked and benefited from the "RoC" then you have the nerve to tell us we wanted to live in squaller, you are an ignorant peasant and have not developed since your enosis/eoka days, same mentality different package. We whipped your arse back then from a weaker position and we will will it some more if you try anything, thank god for the Turkish army and viva la TRNC.

by your statement you imply that people, other than the political elite seek unity. i agree with you. it is time for ordinary people to join as good, against bad. in this understanding there is no difference to people, they are not Greeks or Turks, and i believe they are a greater force as one, if they believe in themselves, than these so called leaders.

So the TMT didnt make examples of well known Turkish Cypriots who wanted to stay in their homes and not live in caves then eh? You wanted segregation, not us. You chose to live in the caves - we didnt force you too.

VP - when you say 'we' - you mean Turkey yeah? Because we've gathered your not Cypriot. Now that we have established that, see if you can find any figures of those in the Turkish army that were killed during the invasion - because Turkey never released any.

They were too embarrassed and didnt want to spoil their victory parade...because what was essentially an unorganised Cypriot militia killed many of the invading Turks and it was only when the Turks used their fighter jets, after the MANY deaths of the raping and theiving Turkish army scum, that they managed to gain any advantage. You might be brainwashed into thinking, YOU - THE TURKS, gave an ass-whipping but in reality its different. You think you have such a great army but simple militias such as the Cypriots and now the Kurds are giving the Turkish army hard work. Good luck when you come accross a real army lol.

taken from Bill Clinton's autobiography "My Life" page 697, paragraph 2

" On January 30, Prime Minister Victor Chenomyrdin of Russia came to the White House for his sixth meeting with Al Gore. After they finished their commission business, Chernomyrdin came to see me to brief me on evens in Russia and Yeltsin's prospects for reelection. Just before out meeting, I spoke to President Suleyman Demirel and Prime Minister Tansu Ciller of Turkey. They told me that Turkey and Greece were on the brink of military confrontation and IMPLORED ME TO INTERVENE TO STOP IT. They were about to go to war over two tiny Aegean islets called Imia by the Greeks and Kardak by the Turks. Both countries claimed the islets, but Greece apparently had acquired them in a treaty with Italy in 1947. Turkey denied the validity of the Greek claim. There were no people living there, though Turks often sailed to the larger islet for picnics. The crisis was triggered when some Turkish journalists had torn down a Greek flag and put up a Turkish one.

It was unthinkable that two great countries with a real dispute over Cyprus would actually go to war over ten acres of rock islets inhabited by only a couple dozen sheep, but I could tell Ciller was GENUINELY AFRAID it could happen. I interrupted the Chernomyrdin meeting to get briefed, then placed a series of calls, first to Greek prime minister Konstandinos Simitis, then to Demirel and Ciller again. After all the talk back and forth, the two sides agreed to hold their fire, and Dick Holbrooke, who was already working on Cyprus, stayed up all night to get the parties to agree to resolve the problem through diplomacy. I couldn't help laughing to myself at the thought that whether or not I suceeded in making peace in the Middle East, Bosnia, or Northern Ireland, at least I had saved some Aegean sheep."

It sounds to me the generals shit their pants and send in the turkish president and prime minister to sort out their fuck up...and then having to watch live on TV the turkish flag hoisted down and while the Greek flag was hoisted up...

implore
call upon in supplication; entreat; "I beg you to stop!"

PS...good luck with the rag tag army that is wipping your ass BTW

TMT was the reactionary force which was set up to fight back EOKA terrorist who wanted to gift Cyprus to Greece without its TC community, we could not just jump into the mass graves you had planned for us we had to fight back the best we could. You seem to conveniently forget your numerical advantage when it suits you with a 4 to 1 ratio we can all easily see who's favor the odds were in, you were the bully.

You are right the Turkish Army took big losses on the beaches but as you might be aware figures are never released, so when you Gcs claim you lost 6000 take a minute to think about those you slaughtered on the beaches, there was even an incident where a Turkish officer had been hung drawn and quartered by loving GCs, these are the reason why the return attack from the Turkish army was so voracious as they had suffered so many deaths, effecting their psychology and increasing the fear factor which eradicates and logic or understanding.

You may try to cover up the reality by using clever sentences but the bottom line is, lives were lost on both sides and division was the result, how we resolve this is up to us, with 33 years of impasse a solution looks bleak, the TRNC will continue until a time when either you come to your senses and treat us as equal partners or like Piratis says you have the balance of power on your side.
