Turkish Cypriots have become a minority in their own country

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby shahmaran » Thu Dec 20, 2007 5:52 pm

I have to go with TC here, id LOVE to have a united Cyprus but i just don't find it to be realistic nor logical when there are people like Phoenix and Piratis and Kifeas and their likes out there, these people are so two faced that they can sit there and argue till they drop that we are all Cypriot, when they actually don't even believe it themselves, they always saw us as an un welcomed minority and will continue to do so until we are all gone and they will do anything for it, which is what got us where we are in the first place.

Basically no one is going to give us what we want, so either we take it by force or we go with the next best option and that is definitely not the "RoC", and to be honest i couldn't care less about the rights of the people who never cared about my rights, i say screw them, not because they are Greek but because they are racist scumbags.

United Cyprus is an unachievable utopia that is being marketed for manipulative purposes which serve totally different agendas.

Those who are greedy are the Turks, who invaded our island for the sake of greed in the first place, and have always taken what is not theirs to take.

Now the Turk-TCs are moaning because they are going to lose out in becoming the prized Europeans that they aspire to . . . but Turkey will always be around you, haunting you, and reminding you who is your boss, where you have come from and what you are now . . . . subordinates to Turkey.

Cyprus, the RoC is the ONLY country that you are distancing yourself from more and more, with every act of Turkification that you honour.

Never FORGET you came with the Ottomans to Cyprus, to take what was not yours, and then you brought Turkey to Cyprus . . . and it will once again take what is ours . . . and what could have been yours too!

You hate me because I tell you the truth . . . and it hurts!
:D

No body hates you Phoenix but pity would have been a better word. The fact that you think Cyprus is Greek is enough to want to certify you and to protect you. Where we came from and why is nothing short of pride in our history and the claim you make as to the whole island just makes us more proud and more distant from the CYpriot that you want us to be and is a far cry from what others on this forum want to be as well. Your sort of truth only belongs in the Greek propaganda books that you hold dear to your heart. Reality is held in suspension whilst you revel in somebody else's perverted view of the world and our rights as true Cypriots and cofounders and owners. You should try thinking for yourself on occasion

This is where you are so mistaken Phoenix, you try to get historical happenings and apply them to today, one of Milosevic's commanders was recorded talking about how it was time to take revenge from the Ottomans before butchering thousands of innocent people for being the "subordinates" of an ancient Empire in THIS century, this very post here demonstrates the exact mentality we are facing here, the same mentality that pushed the people who butchered the 3 TC villages full of woman and children for simply being Turkish, these people are scared opportunist scumbags, they will lay low for centuries and wait for another chance to strike again, and they did, here AND in Turkey! Yet they can go on about how "European" they are, its absolutely ridiculous.

Shah said:

"History wouldn't even remember our existence if Turkey had not intervened and who ever was left alive would be fighting for their simplest rights under your rule, just like the Thracian Turks are doing as we speak,"

This is a crock! I have been there several times. The Turks of Thrace live as well as the rest of the Greeks. Their standard of living is as high as that of their Greek neighbors with the additional benefits of having their own schools and religious institutions. They elect members of parliament, get EU subsidies for their crops as do others. This crap about mistreatment wont wash anymore. Go there and see for yourself Shah.

It is customary now for every Turkish official who visits Greece to go to Thrace and urge the people to pursue their rights in the EU courts. No one has taken them up on the offer because there is no legal basis for any claim.

Now let us see the equivalent standard of living and population status of Greeks of Istanbul, Izmir, the islands of Imvros and Tenedos, if you can still find any. The two communitied were of equal size back in 1923, today there are 150 000 Turksh in Greece and zero Greeks in Turkey. An eloquent testimony to who does what to whom.

Nikitas the Turks in Thrace aren't even allowed to call themselves Turks!!!!!

Just recently when Ali Babacan went to Thrace he spoke out to the Turkish minority which the Greeks called "provocative" since "theres no Turkish minority in Thrace...only a Muslim one".

Shah, T_C and Zan . . . you are a bunch of old windbags (Zan a tinsy bit less today).

You fail to grasp the notion that it is our say-so that grants you the right to stay on our island.

As invaders, you are right that you were not welcome.

Desist with that conquering mentality of yours, accept your rightful place with us if you want to become civilised / European, and stop sounding like bloody Turks!

Turkish Cypriot daily Kibris newspaper (19.12.07) reports that Izzet Izcan, general secretary of the United Cyprus Party (BKP), visited yesterday the occupied Mia Milia village and said that population is brought to the occupied areas of the island under the pretext of “bringing working force”. He noted that the Turkish Cypriots have become minority in their own country and added: “By saying Turk comes Turk goes, they are trying to annihilate our community, our identity and our culture”.

TC were always a minority in Cyprus and even if they were to integrate into Southern Cyprus the foreigners in Cyprus are likely to be more in volume than the Turkish-Cypriots. The Greek-Cypriot-government seems to have more rights in place for the Turkish-Cypriots than other minorities in Cyprus. So even though this might be the case if reunification were to ever happen it is unlikely that you will be given the short straw.
