Yesterday, I was getting repeated phone calls with nobody at the other end of the line. I thought it was someone else's phone but the problem seems to be on my end of the wires.
If I dial my home phone with my mobile, the call fails within a few seconds. I redial and the call fails again. Then, my home phone rings and there's obviously nobody there because I already hung up the mobile. The home phone then rings multiple times at weird increments, registering a call from my mobile, even though I had turned it off. The number of "phantom" calls seems related to the number of times I tried calling home with the mobile, though I wasn't in any mood to count. This happened for a span of time as late as 3:30 AM.
All occurred after the cable modem and routers were restarted at least twice and with full cable signal. I'm thinking that one or both of my routers is problematic; has anybody here had a similar problem?
