My age? Sorry, I won't answer that. Whatever answer I give will just be further ammunition.

GCs true to form they have found another victim to attack and ridicule just because he happens to have a different view to theirs, typical GC style democracy and human rights.

You are the ones who attack in a pack fashion not us, the subject or viewpoint is irrelevant the method of attack is the same, defame character thus rendering arguments null and void, you forget that people are not that gullible and can see right through your underhand tactics.

The checks were out of the ordinary, they started at 6 am, and as time dragged on and more workers arrived a crowd of around 1000 workers massed at the check point waiting impatiently. Tempers frayed and soon there were scuffles with the TRNC police.

Angry workers blocked the check point with their cars and staged an impromptu protest. It took an on the spot visit by the TRNC interior minister to cool tempers when he apologised for the delay and promised it would not happen again.

Seems that TCs are fed up with the bullshit and are showing it.

What is even more interesting is that according to the Politis newspaper several Tv stations in the north carried the news, but RIK did not. I will try to catch their news today to see if they cover the news today.

Nikitas,
Actually this event was given coverage on RIK/CyBC's Friday evening News in Turkish with footage of the event including the minister addressing the angry crowd.

"People travel from one country to another in search of work, this is normal doesnt mean they are supporters of that country"

VP-

I did no post the report of the protest to show that the TCs protest was pro RoC . It is a protest against the practices in the north and the conditions of life which result from them.

As for the trading in the south, it must be considerable. I do not have figures, but the EU regarded it sufficient to demand that VAT is calculated on these sales every day. Whatever the volume, it happens, and it is one way, north to south. Individuals from the south still cannot sell anything in the north. Despite the expressions of European thinking by Mr Talat.

You don't buy anything from the north as your businessmen are afraid of retribution from your government. The figures are comic and do not warrant merit at all, the only reason VAT procedures were necessary because you don't recognize the TRNC official offices to process transactions and therefore had to look for alternative procedures that would meet EU criteria.
