Not difficult to understand, especially when you have no choice in the matter.

They are the part of the mosiac of the North as once upon a time it was with GCs and TCs, 1974 and GC intrangience has changed that forever. You appear more concerned than us I wonder why? can you clarify?

I'll have a go . . .

Because the barbaric Turks are once again invading our country . . . a slow erosion of our population to add to the long list of savage invasions.

They are not doing anything to your people, the Russians and Pontians are doing a good enough job in the Gc state "RoC" you dont need Turks.

Exactly . . . nobody needs Turks.

You are superfluous.

The checks were out of the ordinary, they started at 6 am, and as time dragged on and more workers arrived a crowd of around 1000 workers massed at the check point waiting impatiently. Tempers frayed and soon there were scuffles with the TRNC police.

Angry workers blocked the check point with their cars and staged an impromptu protest. It took an on the spot visit by the TRNC interior minister to cool tempers when he apologised for the delay and promised it would not happen again.

Seems that TCs are fed up with the bullshit and are showing it.

What is even more interesting is that according to the Politis newspaper several Tv stations in the north carried the news, but RIK did not. I will try to catch their news today to see if they cover the news today.

My question is who gave these orders in the first place?

Boomerang,

All security forces in the north are under the direct command of the Turkish army. So the orders to the check point officers came from them.

This is not my conclusion. TC journalist Senre Levent has written many scathing articles about the situation in the north and the extent to which the mainland Turks control the north.
