Tpap misinformed the leaders of other governments saying that he wants to federate. Well, look what happened with that when he denounced the Annan plan... the moron.

A moron is someone that does not understand the difference between federation and confedaration...

Ute this applies to you aswell...

Cyprus is a soveriegn country period...The last thing a sovereign country, a NET contributor to the EU, needs a backwards 3rd world economy of a country interfeering in her affairs...with not so ever an understanding what democracy is all about...As long as you kiss kemalist ass on daily basis everything is ok...And this is what the tcs are bringing to the table...thanks but no thanks...

This is Precisely why the man has fulfilled peaceful obligations that warrant reward.

He has shown he is a man of integrity who put his country first above self-image. Once he established what the Annan plan meant for the ALL the people of Cyprus . . . i.e. permanent partition, he rejected it.

Tpap does whatever is in the interests of his one million odd people that rely on him for their future, and if he has to lead the rest of the world astray in one instance or another then so be it. What is your excuse?

Who gives a rat's arse if the EU or US were "betrayed" utu? They look out for their interests and with Tpap we look out for ours.

If looking out for one's people is the preresequite you're looking for, then I'll have to nominate Rauf Denktas for the prize...

The main thing is Papadopoulos seriously has re-establishing real peace in his mind . . . regardless of political expediency and kowtowing to the preferred strategies of the warmongers.

Hence I truly believe he is worthy material for the Nobel.

No can do... Denktash will get arrested on the spot for various murders during his TMT years.

He also betrayed the Greek Cypriots too. He won the elections in 2003 on the ticket of:
I promise to endeavour to solve the Cyprus issue on the basis of the Annan plan.

When the plan was rejected he did nothing for 3.5 years and remembered that we have a problem to solve just before the coming elections. He is trying to fool thre people again but this time we know better. That is why he is going home, come February.

How relevant is this really, to the fact that in the long term, he is satisfying the majority of Cypriots who DO NOT want partition of the island and that is surely, the secret to long term peace.

Hence the reason why he is a good candidate.

Scientists abandon many lines of research before they hit on the right formula for that crucial discovery ..... and that's what the Nobel prize is about.

Not rush decisions ..... but a considered lifetime's achievement.

Papadopoulos has already eliminated the biggest threat to everlasting peace on Cyprus by removing the Annan Plan from the agenda.

That is reason enough for him to be nominated for this prestigious prize.

If he is re-elected I am sure he will continue to envelope the EU into removing the Turkish Troops from Cyprus. That would fulfill the above criteria 100%.

. . . Papadopoulos deserves the Nobel Peace Prize! :D

Which planet do you live on?....man you have lost the plot
