oh, i could tell you stories.... i care for a dog that will eat anything--walked in once to see he had eaten half a bar of soap! i called the vet to find out if there was anything i needed to do. they wanted to know how recently he ate it, and asked me to look in his mouth to see if there was any residue. no residue, but it sure was clean in there! finally, they advised me that the dog would get a "raging case of diarrhea" i wondered if that meant bubbles were going to shoot out his butt???
i had another dog who loved to eat bananas, and yet another who loved celery, and knew every tomato plant in the neighborhood. she loved to snatch and eat the green tomatoes.

My mate once had a big, scruffy looking, grey and black cat that used to eat his underwear. Yup, sounds incredible, but true. He had to make a point of putting it in the laundry basket with a big weight on the top, to stop the cat getting at it. The cat would still get in, and eat the crotch out of his underpants and the soles of his socks. I once came upon the cat sitting there looking guilty with a sock coming out of his mouth. It knew that it was doing wrong – it just couldn't help itself!
