Look Insan, I don't want to wish to keep digging up the past but you have to admit that the TC leaders and Turkey were actively discouraging TC's from having economic links with GC's. It is also known that TMT were stopping TC's from returning to their villages as well. You paint the picture that EVERYTHING was to do with us, but you never actually question the role of the TMT or certain sections of your own society in many of these incidents. Basically both sides have enough 'ammo' to throw at eachother reagrding these things, so don't expect statements such like what turlcyp said to go completely unanswered.

That is because the TC's withdrew from government in 1963.

and made a formal request for return in 65 (through UN in Cyprus) - which the GC refused unless they accept changes to the consitituion.

The TC 'withdrew' from the government in 63 because

1) - it was not safe for TC to enter GC controlled areas
2) - as a protest to the illegal activites of GC (like Makarios ignoring the supreme court ruling on municipalites).

The 'stealing' in Cyprus began long before 74 of that there is no doubt in my mind. The thesis that the GC adminstration sought to 'steal' the rights of the TC and the RoC is backed up by what GC leaders said, what they did, what they encouraged others to do and what they 'wrote' in their secret documents like the Akritas plan.
