4th anniversary after buying new then every two years.

I've got nearly three and a half years to go before mine needs a MOT so I'm not worrying yet :D

are you sure youre not cypriot bill? ooh look at me i`ve got a new car! very cyp showing off that!

Must be the Cypriot thing rubbing off on me  .

Actually not showing off ~ in fact I'm quite the reverse ~ my friends have been criticising me for buying a Mazda when they know I can afford a Merc.

I'm afraid I don't subscribe to the "look at my house / car / clothes" ~~ see how wealthy I appear Cypriot way of life

To me a car is a car ~ nothing more than four wheels and a steering wheel and as I do not intend to buy another one before I pop my clogs ( die ) that's why I bought new ~~ it's going to last me out  .

And I don't have to worry about MOT's plus servicing is free for five years

Now if I drove down the town or sea front wiyh a spoiler and big bore exhaust on my pick up ~ then you could say I was Cypriot

touche! i just find that buying new you lose too much money, buy nearly new thats the way let someone else lose the money and you get the bargain  nought wrong with mazda`s by the way! mot in cyprus is nothing to worry about by the way, its nothing like the english mot, just look at the state of a lot of older cy cars and you will see what i mean, they just seem to pass everything, servicing in cy is pretty cheap as well much cheaper than in england

Usually I would agree with you ( again  ) as I've always thought the same ~ cars lose so much as soon as you drive them out of the showroom ~~ the last new car I bought was in 1985 ~ and only then because I found a good deal on a old shape car where they had brought out a new model AND I required something decent as I was commuting between London and Manchester on a regular basis.

Oh by the way I priced up the same car via the internet and phone with UK dealers and I've saved a couple of grand on UK prices by buying in Cyprus even though everybody says how expensive they are here ~ the two grand saving just about covers the taking it out of the showroom loss had I bought in the UK.

So it's not all gloom and doom really.

Can't wait to get tinted windows ~ a big bore exhaust and a spoiler on it

tbh bill i think the jap cars are cheap in cyp, its the german stuff thats over priced!

london to manchester  -yuk! what a horrible drive that is!

dont forget the neon lights underneath  if you really wanna blend in like! and the tarty bit to sit next to you while you try and break the sound barrier driving up and down makarios ave,73 times per night  my missus calls it the "look at me! i`m in a car everyone" syndrome that cyp boys seem to mutate into in their teens and usually lasts to middle age

Yep ~ shit journey ~ what was really worrying was that after doing the trip for a few months I was losing part of the journey ~~ I was suddenly arriving in Manchester with little recollection of how I'd got there ~ I'm almost certain I'd nodded off on the way

i drive huge miles my self! i do over 20k a year just for football, and more than that for work! and what your talking about does actually happen there was a programme on telly about it and i think they were basically saying that you go into a trance like state and its at this point that most drivers cause accidents on the motorways! quite scary really when you think about it i`ve been known to drive over a thousand miles in a day going through europe!
