Why Irish Roman Catholics should NEVER be trusted.

bigdog,The reason for my reference to 'The Wolfe Tones' was, I feel, quite obvious.

It is a counter to the views levelled against those who stand in condemnation of any who oppose what they perceive to be oppression.

I think it is absolutely fair to consider the fact that there are two sides in any dispute, it does not indicate that I am either in agreement or against the contrary views, merely that I recognize the existence of them.

Without opposition, we will all become the servants of whosoever wields the most power among us, I believe we are subjected enough these days and do welcome alternative opinions, who knows, one day we may learn something.

Best Wishes to you over the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

Eliko,I may be 31 years old,but I have become more conservative in my opinions in relation to some issues, especially those in relation to constitutional matters.

I can understand why native Cypriots are angry towards both the Turks & the Greeks for using Cyprus as a battleground for their petty games.I can also understand why the people of Gibraltar told the Spanish where to get off when they voted in favour of staying under British rule in referenda in 1967 & 2002.I can also understand why the Falkland Islanders are so extremely suspicious of the Argentinians, considering that the Argentinians illegally occupied the Falkland Islands back in 1982.

Unfortunately I must now take my leave of this forum, I am soon to be transported to the Middle East and will be absent for about 4 weeks.

I have enjoyed making contact with you good folks during my short stay and would like to thank you all for your participation.

I would also like to extend my best wishes to you all over the Christmas Holidays together with the hope that we may all enjoy Good Luck, Good Health, Prosperity and Happiness in 2008.

I may still be granted a further day here, I send the above greetings in anticipation of the fact that I might not (If you see what I mean).

Eliko,I hope that you have a good Christmas & a good New Year.Be extremely careful.

By the time you get back,we will all be thinking in Euros instead of Cypriot Pounds,& in Euro-Cents instead of Cents.

When we were kids we would hold 'Roman Candles' and point them at objects and try to hit them with the firey balls they shot out, sometimes we aimed at people.

But it's quite correct you can't trust 'RomanCandles' (Irish or Human) as you never quite know when the Firey Balls will shoot out.
