I believe the closest you will find to this is the Panagiris, setup on certain religious days of the Greek Orthodox calender. This is held in different locations around Cyprus, sometimes there is 2/3 panagiris in one day, some obviously bigger than others. In order to set up a stall you need a licence and people who tend to run them are similar to carnival folks. They travel around the country setting up stalls, most of the goods are sub-quality standard, stalls sell similar things (often the same items). There is normally a place to eat and drink situated around these stalls. They are normally setup around churches on certain days.

If I am wrong somebody correct me, I would be interested to know if there is something closest to a flea market here in Cyprus. I could not find anything.

Check it out, I think it might help. It says there is a flea market in Limassol, what do you know. You learn something new every day.

But Fasouri Market can hardly be described as a flea market.

Generally like a UK market selling greeting cards, copy DVD's and CD's by the hundreds, books, lots of ladies underwear and clothing stalls, health food stall, countless jewellery and make up stalls, a large household stall, some unusual items and the odd house clearance stall, food stalls/cafes, one stall sells items only made in Cyprus, a nice stall selling fancy bra straps and thongs, a computer stall, tools, electrical goods plus a few fancy goods.

The nearest to a flea market is the one at Linopetra traffic lights (Limassol) on Saturday mornings and even that has a lot of repetitions of Fasouri market.

Griva Digeni coming from round-about going to Carrefour. At first light is on the left-front corner. (On the right before the lights there is Poplife store - which sucks). That's a saturday market.

There's also one more that I know, coming on Makarios (from the sea), pass Bodyline, get to Mitsubishi lights (on the left should be Universal Bank), make left, then, I think second to the right. (There's a lighting or something just before the right turn, a yellow one like a sphere for people crossing).
The second one is more like a vegetable market.

Hope I got the question right.

Last time i went there (2 weeks ago) the market had been raided by the police so the dvd stalls were conspicuously absent.
