Occupiers of TC property may be arrested

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby metecyp » Wed Mar 23, 2005 12:50 am

PS. As for Sener Levent I ‘d rather prefer to verbaly call him a traitor, rather than charging him for treason and put him in jail like you did.How many charges does he have against him now? A few months ago they were about 1100. How many years does he have to serve for each charge? About 30?

You're comparing illegal, undemocratic TRNC that's run by a bunch of thieves with legal, democractic, well-respected RoC that's run by honest hard-working tolerant Cypriots?? How dare you!

I think you are lying intentionally here. The fact is that the many TCs got double and tripple compared to what they left behind whereas others got about equal and others got nothing. And whatever was left was distributed to the settlers. You yourself said many times that you got nothing....True or not?

Why should I lie. It is true. This does not prove the otherwise what I said. Do you think that the ones who sell GC properties are only the ones who made irregularities on GC properties? Do you think they sell only the part of properties which they get irregularly? Do you think those greedy thieves constitute a majority among TC community? Those who made irregularities about GC properties and got much more than what they left in South will pay the price of what they did by losing substantial amount of their wealth, sooner or later. Do you think everyone can dare to made irregularities in "TRNC"? Yes according to your flat logic whole thing in "TRNC" is illegal. When someone has this perception, point of view; it is impossible for us to discuss anything with persons who have such a perception and point of view.

First of all who told you even under any solution there will be a forced exchange of properties? And who told you that we have to agree with Denktash’es term to exchange the 18% with the 37% of properties and get compensated for the difference? If it is so, then take our proposal to compensate you for whatever you own at the pseudo and at the free areas and give us everything. Does that sound fair to you?

It is obvious that vast majority of TCs will resist to exchange their properties. You name it, "forced" or the most feasible and rational. who told you that you would exchange %18 with %37? Denktash has never asked something like this. Read 1977 summit agreements to see what Denktash agreed. And read a bit about inter-communal talks between Denktash and Makarios about the land ownership and return of refugees.

The rest of your post didn't make any sense for me. Even the your complete post didn't make any sense on me but anyway....

They are stupidly restricting the sales of properties to GCs. I think they should even let GCs buy the properties. I guarantee you that there will be many GCs buying properties in north.

???????

Turkcyp, what do you mean? Do you think there are GCs who are willing to buy their own properties or the properties that belong other GCs?

I think he is suggesting this and I think he is right as well. Just my opinion of course.

Are you kidding? You think GC's are going to pay money for properties they already own? What kind of delusional rubbish is that.

I'd like to hear your judgment about the rightness and rationality of selling the occupied GC properties to their owners or other non-refugee GCs.

The ratioanality is simple. If we are claiming that we are a state with rule of law, the we should treat everybody equally. GCs should not be any different for us than a Brit, or a Turkish (from any foreigner).

Ok. But I don't think any GC refugee would come and buy his/her own land. I don't think any non-Refugee GC come and buy the land belongs to a GC refugee. what about if all ex-Kyrenians and all other ex GC inhabitants of North demand all of their properties and lands given back to them and reject exchange?

3) Set up an special property court, and ask EU, USA or some other third party to appoint foreign judges for it so that each GC claim for land can be evaluated. (This is assuming the part (2) is rejected by RoC). Those GC that apply to this court shall be compensated with proper amount or given as muc as his/her land back as possible. If GCs decide to move to TRNC give them immediate citizenship, with full rights.

You'll ask EU which "RoC" is a member of and you'll ask US which Greece is a member of to force GC administration to accept everything turkish side offered? Unilaterally and gradually giving up to %18 of land back to GC administration is ok but no one still can force GC refugees to accept what is offered to them.

2) Offer to give substantial amount of land back (upto 18%) to have a legal divorce from RoC.

Returning %18 of land will take at least 20 years because TC living and earning on those lands should have been rehabilitated.

Your suggestion seems completely irrartional and unfesible to my logic.[/quote]
