Oh dear, I can just see peoples blood pressure rising.........why get so upset over any mention of the TRNC ?

try to understand being a refugee who has been ousted from their home at gunpoint, and then have the same people exclude you whilst they sell off your land to the British and Jews and wanting to name your country as something that it isn't then you may understand why it causes soem people to get upset.

think how you feel when you hear that Turkish speaking Cypriots do not belong in Cyprus...... the feeling may be a bit closer than you think

I do understand, but these petitions are so petty they make me chuckle - especially when this one is also signed by " R. Ecognise the TRNC "

If you check the Downing Street petitions website you can see that every Tom Dick & Harry has a go at petitioning. Do any of these actually make a nation alter their official line of thinking ?

Anyway, apologies if you took it the wrong way - no harm intended by me.

I agree these petition are useless...how naive must you be to think that after all the cash rich lobbies, the politicans selfinterets, th geo-political interest of the UK both long and short term will change one iota from a petition signed by Haralampos and Kshakshiou is beyond me.

Then think back to how the "RoC" was formed and you might get where we are coming from and how they are still digging up the dead from the Akritas Plan.....

petitions are our weapon, we have never had the power to defend ourselves by military means, they have americans weapons we only have logical reason, peace and a humanist view, fact is if this world was muslim is would be over by now, it is a self destructive religon, once all opponants are crushed
