How long does it take a foreigner to become a Cypriot?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

There were some 20 similar sites on the island. What evidence do you have that these people suddenly became extinct?

Just because there is an archaeological missing link for about 1000 years just means we have not unearthed the evidence yet . . . . or have failed to recognise it.

It's more likely we have not found the remains of cultures for that 1000 year period than that a whole group of people became extinct when they were so well developed in farming etc. . . . and then replaced by a second group of people.

Even then, the second group of people would still have been native for thousands of years . . . . that is significant.

Hello Savvas / simocy

Welcome to the forum. I look forward to reading your input to the resolution of the Cyprus problem.

So far that sounds like good advice :D

What chance of that, since the Ottomans were not welcomed with open arms, why integrate. They came to rule. It was up to their descendants to integrate. Did you ever want that? Get real.
We are Cypriots/Turkish Cypriots and are in Cyprus to stay.

Deniz are you in your right mind? :?

Does anyone welcome invaders with open arms?

As for wanting integration . . . . that is the normal course of events. Why have the Turk-TCs failed to do that?

P.S. .... did you have a good evening with your granddaughters? :D

deniz wrote:My sentiments exactly Phoenix mou. No invader expects to be welcomed with open arms yet you expect assimilation/integration?

This is not logical. Please review.
Are you suggesting you are withholding integration because we did not welcome your slaughter of our ancestors and relatives? :?
deniz wrote: Hiding your daughters from the Ottomans does not encourage integration.

We are talking integration not intercourse

deniz wrote:And thanks Phoenix mou, I am in sound mind. I'll have you know there is a good 24 hours left in me.
My grand daughters are fine thank you. The nine year old was telling me of her new form teacher. She is GC and according to Molly , lovely and friendly and loves TC people. Dont worry. I shall not mention 'phoenix'.
I hope you enjoyed your 'partying'.

. . . would have been livelier with you around :D

I went caving today

Shamaran, Deniz, TC, and any other doubting Thomas out there...

ANSWER THIS QUESTION OR FOREVER HOLD YOUR SILENCE:

Please inform WHERE the indigenous Cypriots have gone and WHEN such a historic Cypriot migration took place if those we call "Greek Cypriots" today are NOT their descendants!

A 'little bit of love and understanding' (a la G. Becaud) would have been a beter inducement.

My size forbids me to join you caving. Funny hobby. Now I am convinced you are crazy. Be safe anyway.

Deniz . . . . that's a fine sentiment for the ones you love, but WHY WOULD WE WANT TO OFFER INDUCEMENTS to Invaders?

They can stay if they integrate, but otherwise they should go.

No need for inducements
