Excellent Arios :D

Now, how are you getting on with the Greek language?

Have you learnt the lyrics and are you singing along to Marios yet? 8)

You are inspirational, I think I may have a go at learning a Japanese song, do you recommend any?

I've just noticed Arios is Marios without the M. Are you Frangoulis in disguise? You know I am your number one fan.

Kifeas I saw you posted Frangoulis for DT . . . so you must be a fan too. :D

The above is great, Theodorakis sounds powerful who ever sings.

Arios here are the words for Kifeas' post and maybe someone can post them in Greek:

Barcelona 1992 Opening Ceremony - Entrance of Olympic Flag
Part of Yannis Ritsos's poem "Romiossini" is heard, composed by Mikis Theodorakis and sung by the mezzo-soprano Agnes Baltsa.

Lyrics:
Me tosa fylla sou gnefi o ilios kalimera
Me tosa flampoura lampi o ouranos
ke touti mes ta sidera ke kini mes to homa.
Sopa opou na'ne tha simanoun i kampanes
Afto to homa ine diko tous ke diko mas
Katou apo to homa, mes ta stavromena heria tous
kratane tis kampanas to skini
prosmenoune tin ora na simanoun tin anastasi
Touto to homa ine diko tous ke diko mas
De mpori kanis na mas to pari.

English translation:
With so many leaves the sun waves you goodmorning
With so many flags the sky shines
and they are behind bars and under the earth.
Wait, the bells will ring soon
This earth is theirs and ours too
Under the earth in their crossed hands
they hold the bell's rope
waiting for the time to sound the resurrection.
This earth is theirs and ours too
No one can take it away from us.

@phoenix. Thanks. Arios is a guy from Japanese Manga. Maybe real Greeks may not know my feeling to Greece. When I was 10~12, I saw the Cartoons "Seiya" about Greek mythology. There is no doubt that many people it is full of longing to Greece. Not only in Japan, also in China, Korean, Singapore etc... I guarantee that, if you encounter young Asian tourists in the streets, maybe all of them know Greece from "Seiya".

Frankly, I'm an award-winning artist. I have been to Cyprus and tears for it. Because the Cyprus problem. I saw a lot of tears in Cyprus, in particular the bereaved refugees. Since then, I decided to do some things for Cyprus. especially to shoot a film on the Cyprus problem. Because I really can not conceal my love to the Great Greece.
At present, the script has been completed, and raise the fund now. But I am sorry, I can not reveal more details on it. However, I can guarantee that, it let more people understand Cypriots tears and Cyprus problem.

About the Greek, it's indeed a difficult language. Especially for me. Grammar is very difficult. More importantly, I must learn it via English and French. Few people understand Greek here.

And Kifeas, thank you very much for your upload the video. I'm learning all about Hellenic now.

Arios here is a site that has many Greek song lyrics in Greek (and their English pronunciations). They are not Theodorakis, but they are a good selection and as you say a good way of learning another language.
