Dave,as the old saying goes,the horse has already bolted.Somaliland has seceded from Somalia - back in 1991! The so-called 'Transitional Federal Government of Somalia' isn't the legitimate government of Somaliland at all.The only government that is legitimate in Somaliland is the Government of the Republic of Somaliland.The so-called 'T.F.G. of Somalia' is the legitimate authority for what was Italian Somaliland (the Republic of Somalia.

About the Provinces of Sanaag & Sool,they are legitimately part of Somaliland,but Puntland is both illegally occupying these 2 provinces & have imposed a pirate state calling itself 'Maakhir'.The Somaliland Army would be within their rights to turf Puntland's militias out of Somaliland.

Somaliland's capital city is located in Hargeisa,not Mogadishu!

DT.,both Cyprus & Somaliland have quite a bit in common - both being former British colonies,& both countries have a Muslim population.

Naturally,Somaliland belongs in the British Commonwealth anyway! Cyprus is already a British Commonwealth member state.
