Zan may I appeal to your rationality and get you to agree we BOTH had vile experiences no Human should have to endure?

How did it degenerate further, to dividing a whole country and ethnically cleansing 200, 000 people from their homes and meanwhile killing thousands?

Because 63 and then 67 wasn't enough for you so you tried again in 74. Three attempts by you to clean us off the island. The third was in 1974 when we finally stopped you....We the ethnically cleansed bit back one final time and we have had peace ever since.

Whhhaaaaaattt did the GCs do in '74???? :?

Because my recollection was that the GCs were staving off an attempted coup whilst the TCs were being rounded up by the opportunistic Turks to colonise part of Cyprus for Turkey.

Life is so easy in the Greek propaganda world that I feel guilty telling you the truths.........Ho HUM....Life still goes on though...Rip Van Winkle.

The Akritas plan was not an alleged plan, GR. It was real and you should know this and not need Makarios Droushiotis or anyone else to tell you. In 1963 we went asking for troubles and the best we can do now is to accept and learn from our mistakes if ever we want to achieve something meaningful and right for our country which we all claim to care about.

accepting and learning from our mistakes is correct Bananiot...would you consider the ongoing mistakes/injustices created by the other side as accepted and learnt though?

What I don't accept is your carefully chosen words of "Ongoing" and Created in the way you use them....The problem was created by the Akritas Plan with intent...And the Isolations and Embargoes are the ones ongoing...

From the point of the overall comment....We voted YES to the Annan Plan...Moving forward was our aim...What happened to you guys...What are your aims.

Bullshit again...There was a strong following of Denktas that did not want the Annan Plan either and thought it gave too much away and saw the dangers of the plan for the TCs. The one man that was there and saw the plan develop. De Soto only saw intransigence from Tpap once Denktas was removed from the process. Turkey agreed to give up so much for it's EU accessions. Tpap wants all or nothing and thinks he can get all by other means. It will not work.

Read the book. The only thing we get is political equality. Words that strike terror into some devious GC minds....
