1) Do you accept that enormous crimes have been committed not just towards the Greek Cypriots by Turks/Turkish Cypriots, but also towards Turkish Cypriots by Greeks/Greek Cypriots?
Even if the answer was “yes” would that justify the existence of the illegal and unrecognized “TRNC” that contravenes countless UN resolutions? I don't think so...
2) Do you recognise that the authorities in the North are the democratically elected representatives of Turkish Cypriots?
Given that the “TRNC” is an illegal and unrecognized entity it only follows that anything that comes out of it is also illegal and unrecognized and that is why Talat is regarded the TC community “leader” and nothing more.
4) Following their “yes” vote for the Annan plan for Cyprus unification – which was modelled on previous Cypriot backed UN plans for a bi-zonal, bi-commual federal solution – do you believe there is any justification for Turkish Cypriots to still be internationally isolated? Do you not think Turkish Cypriots have suffered enough?
Given that the RoC is the ONLY recognized government (authority) of Cyprus and it is being hindered by the Turkish military from extending its democratic jurisdiction to all four corners of the island, then it is clear that the only factor undermining the wellbeing of the TC community is in fact the Turkish military. Upon removal of the Turkish military from Cyprus, the RoC will then be able to extend all rights & obligations throughout the island to embrace all Cypriots.
