Both Greece & Turkey have got a lot to answer for.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Love it. We can now argue about 3 islands, and we haven't even touched Sri Lanka .

I knew 2 guys who served in the British Army in Cyprus back in the 1950's.One of them told me that he was in a section in which the commander got shot at.The commander turned around & shot the sniper, who later turned out to be an EOKA terrorist, who definitely deserved to have been put down.

Out of all the foreign powers that ruled Cyprus, the British were the best.If it wasn't for the British,Cyprus wouldn't have had a good administrative system. The Cypriot economy still benefits from the British rule of the Sovereign Base Areas of Akrotiri & Dhekelia,as the British have provided employment as well as British citizenship to the native Cypriots who are gainfully employed in these 2 British territories.

Your views please.

don't you find it a little bit strange that wherever the Brits have been there are problems in those countries after they are gone....in every single one of them,,,hmmmmmmm,,,,,i wonder why... :?:

He could not possibly comprehend what you mean Andreas, you are talking to the android of the British Colonialism, such questions would just make his system crash, reboot, and start all over again with the same mentality, the guy is hopeless

The 'bash the British' postings are really a bit on the nose.If it hadn't been for the British, then there wouldn't even be a Cyprus.

The Cypriot people have a lot to be thankful for the British,as they prevented Cyprus from going down the pan.
