well..we heard what your favorite cartoons on TV were, how about hearing what your favorite toy was when you were a child?
mine has to be the Hornby train set i was given at my birthday in early sixties.. (the proper die-cast type with steam coming out of its funnel)
I was so fond of this train set i hardly played with it,fearing i might break it...It was locked up most of the time and i would only play with it on special occasions..

what was your favorite toy?

I loved my dolls. Normal girl I guess but one of my favorite toys was sewing machine. I loved to pretend that I was making clothes for my dolls.

Thats how I learn how to stitch at first place. My mum was laughing at me trying to make clothes from old kitchen cloths. She kept laughing until one day when she tried on one of her best pajamas, she realized that one of her legs was uncovered. I used that nice soft red silk fabric for my doll dress.

She was so mad at me that took away for a while that sewing machine....but recently I found it somewhere in an old box.

Time to attack your mums pyjamas again Lena :D

Mine must have been either my mechano set or the Evel Knevel (RIP:() toy that I had. Used to set up ramps and do loads of stunts with it! Also my Bionic Man toy I had. That used to be cool :)

Mine was my lead soldiers ~ I had loads of different ones all made by my dad with of course me helping.

Sadly he used to keep the perfect ones that came out of the dies and I ended up with the wobbly ones ~~ the really bad ones were melted down and added to more lead to produce the next batch .

Now they say that lead is bad for you and there are various regulations now preventing lead being used in paint and toys and water pipes ~ but I used to chew my lead toys as a child  and and it it it it hasn't hasn't hasn't affected me me me at all all

In fact I could say that I still seem to have plenty of lead in my pencil.
