You might be interested to know that as of today you can get a mixed bag of the new euro coins from banks. The bag is worth ten Cyprus pounds. I got my bag this morning.

Tim,how much is there in Euros is there in a bag? I know that the face value for a complete set is 3 Euros & 88 Euro-Cents.

I will have to let my fellow coin collectors outside Cyprus know.

I would imagine around 17 euros worth of various coins

If you are a coin collector as you say you are why are you interested in an ordinary bag of coins and not a UNC set.

I have a couple of nice sets in their folders of the proposed designs prior to the final decision being made ~ now they are worth keeping.

No doubt the Central Bank of Cyprus will be issuing a brilliant UNC set to commemorate the introduction of the Euro and personally I would have thought that that would be more use to a collector than a bag of ordinary coins .

Yes, as others have suggested, there is a little over 17 euros.

Bill, there are some collectors who have put away some of the starter kits that the other Eurozone countries issued just prior to the change over to the Euro back in 2002.Most of the starter kits would have been split open,& the complete kits are regarded as being quite scarce.

I am sure that there will be some collectors who are picking up starter kits just to put on http://www.ebay.com or http://www.coinbay.biz .
