Ive just booked my flight this afternoon for this Friday night at a cost of GB£102 ( one way ) for a Cyprus airways flight.

Next week the cost really goes up and the week after you would need a bank loan to get a ticket .

I bet there are still some seats available somewhere ~ have you tried via Frankfurt etc ~ there's so many different ways of getting to Cyprus and there must be a airline somewhere with an available seat

I think some serious time has to be spent on your lap top looking at the travel web sites putting in various dates until you find a flight.

Bill call me crazy but for now I am traveling only with Cyprus airways with students tickets...many reasons and one of them is that I always change my ticket and they do not charge me for that. Also the weight that allow us to carry is always more than other companies, safe trip with movies on etc. Never had any complain etc etc.

I have my ticket to go back but not for the day that i wanted.

It doesnt matter now I already booked for different days ... I will spend New Year with my family and more days than I thought that way. The bad thing is that I will spend Christmas here, away from my family for first time and I will be at work probably! :roll:

Life goes on!

By the way thanks for the advice and the care! :)


Lena mou, I hope you have good friends on Christmas day. :D Flights at this time are impossible to get, my parents also had problems.

Thanks Niki mou...according to my plans I am going to work during Christmas and pack my suitcases. My flight is on 26th of December!

Know what you mean Lena mou. :x It took us ages to get a flight for our son to come back from uni. It was an absolute nightmare and flights started at over 1000 GBP!! That was trying in September! He is coming over early by 2 days and staying an extra day as it was the cheapest way :!: Still nearly 400GBP! Glad to hear that you will be here with your family by Boxing Day :)

I am very happy tonight - no Greek homework this week, though I have promised myself to try and work on the verbs - past tense conjugation :!: :evil: What a nightmare :!: :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :!:

my ticket cost a bit less since is a fixed price for students. But is not easy to find a flight this period. Anyway I will be home for New Year, Fota and my brothers name day! :D :D :D

:D Keep trying Bubbles mou! Is not easy to learn Greek but I am sure you are doing well...I notice the -ei for your verb...that means you learn something! :D :D :D
