Archbishop Chrysostomos of Cyprus and the whole of Ioustiniani, has made a special prayer for rain that was read in churches all over Cyprus last Sunday. As a result, we expect heavy rain on Wednesday. It has not however been clarified if the prayer was said after the Archbishop consulted weather com or before.

Bananiot,

If it rains will that prove that the holy men have THE power?

If not, then what?

My point is that we behave no better than your average tribe sorcerer of a jungle village.

You should have booked your flight earlier Lena

Ive just booked my flight this afternoon for this Friday night at a cost of GB£102 ( one way ) for a Cyprus airways flight.

Next week the cost really goes up and the week after you would need a bank loan to get a ticket .

I bet there are still some seats available somewhere ~ have you tried via Frankfurt etc ~ there's so many different ways of getting to Cyprus and there must be a airline somewhere with an available seat

I think some serious time has to be spent on your lap top looking at the travel web sites putting in various dates until you find a flight.

Good luck Lena

Bill call me crazy but for now I am traveling only with Cyprus airways with students tickets...many reasons and one of them is that I always change my ticket and they do not charge me for that. Also the weight that allow us to carry is always more than other companies, safe trip with movies on etc. Never had any complain etc etc.

I have my ticket to go back but not for the day that i wanted.

It doesnt matter now I already booked for different days ... I will spend New Year with my family and more days than I thought that way. The bad thing is that I will spend Christmas here, away from my family for first time and I will be at work probably!

Life goes on!

By the way thanks for the advice and the care! :)
