Simple pleasures in life!

Postby webbo » Sat Dec 01, 2007 12:54 pm

Webbo had made a curry for our dinner last night (lovely it was too, better than any you get in the restaurants over here  )

As the rice was boiling etc, I made a few poppadoms, inasmuch that I heated some oil and dropped some ready made ones in for a few minutes.

What amazes me is the affect the hot oil has on the poppadoms. The way they just hiss, frazzle and curl up into bigger more elaborate shapes instantaneously, boy I tell you I could make millions! Such a soothing experience -(but only if you are mega careful with the oil  it can be dangerous!)

They tasted delicious too................................................................

What simple pleasure/s do you have in life? Keep it clean  if you can :!:  :!:

I know what you mean Bubbles - prawn crackers do the same thing!! Also the first time I made meringues in the microwave - just royal icing cut into tiny rounds - and hey presto - crisp dry - huge meringues in seconds!!

:D Completely forget about prawn crackers :!: Will just have to do a home made Chinese meal one day next week now. Cheers Tess :)

 Webbo does not like meringue, but I do not mind a little bit, so, if you are ever passing by......................................... :P

A long drive with my car and the music as loud as my ears can handle.

Fell asleep with my younger brother snoring in my arms.

Preparing a meal for friends.

A nice chat with my mum in the car towards Larnaca for an ice-cream.

Walking next to the beach in Limassol on that wooden bridge around midnight.

Sitting outside of Saint George church in Paphos looking at the sea with friends and chatting.
