Th Cypriot way, **** them all!

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Th Cypriot way, **** them all!

Marios Matsakis, the colourful Euro M.P. who used to be one of the most hardline nationalists in Cyprus is apparently in love with a Turkish lady, according to the newspaper Sabah and while he declined to give details he did admit that he finds Turkish women to be 'most attractive!!'
He has also admitted that the Greek Cypriots behaved 'horribly' to the Turkish Cypriots on a number of occasions in the past and they should openly apologise to them and ask for their forgiveness!
I say let's vote Marios for President next February and forget the other four candidates! If he can keep his end up then I'm sure there will plenty of other volunteers here who would follow his example!
The Cypriots are well-known internationally for their love of this particular activity and I'm sure we could solve the Cyprus problem overnight between the sheets if we were given the chance!A Cypriot solution to the Cypriot problem......., just**** it!!
All this other bullshit about who owns what house and land etc. will then become irrelevant as we will all be able to go and enjoy each others company freely and be one big happy family
So let's attack with love-after all, when the lights are off can we really tell the difference between Greek and Turkish Cypriot or Anatolian?

When you consider that a lot of the Turkish Cypriots have their roots firmly in the Greek Cypriot bloodline it's not such a daft idea at all .

My youngest son was very interested in a Turkish Cypriot girl when he was at college ~~ but there was no way her parents would allow it as they thought he was English ~~ when they found out that he had Greek blood in him then it was absolutely out of the question .

We really must get away from these silly idea's forced on us by background and religion.

A friend fell madly in love with an Egyptian girl a few years ago and she likewise was besotted with him ~~ at first the parents said no way and then seeing they were so much in love relented and agreed to the relationship as long as he converted to the Muslim faith.

Well it never happened ~ and she was whisked off back to relatives in Egypt to keep them apart .

He eventually married an English girl and I believe she married into a good family in Egypt > sad really as neither of them have been happy since.

Well good luck to Romeo and Juliet. But in my experience using love and romance to solve politics is a non-starter.

Look at the mess everyone good into for the lovely Helen of Troy.

I had a crush on a Turkish boy when I was 17 . . . but it has not changed my feelings about wanting Turkey out of Cyprus.

. . . in fact he was the type to be tried under the "Insulting Turkishness" Law . . . so that's yet one more reason for me to hate Turkey.

Of course not ~~ it's probably part of the perks of the job.

Or the local girls feel sorry for you and see you as a kindred spirit
