. . . more free flowing streams of consciousness, that's what I say. :D

Now I wonder if I can lick my fingers, and pick up the icing sugar from the empty box of Loukoumia, without making my keyboard sticky? :?

. . . . mmmm . . . s'good! . . . mmmm

Phoenix surely not another box?!? Okay now you're just trying to make me jealous.. (not that you've succeeded..  )

Sorry to disappoint expectations . . . but it's the same box. :(

I'm rather attached to it . . . (whilst it still has icing sugar :D )

 Phoenix I have this image of you walking around with that precious Loukoumi box tucked under your arm...

Although I guess if you're going to eat Loukoumia you may as well devour (and thoroughly enjoy in the process) every last bit, including the very last drop of icing sugar! 8)

. . . "waste not want not" . . . as they say

Indeed Phoenix, a very good philosophy to live by.. :D

. . . did ukman not learn anything whilst he was in Cyprus?

....Or we say we're leaving and then we spend another five hours standing at the door (Shoes on, coats done up) talking about anything ranging from politics to how to make pork souvlakia tender...

Natty . . . that is so true.

Some of my best conversations have been just like that . . . I consider it rude to let someone leave just because they have said they have to go and have put their coat on . . . usually I start offering them more food for their journey

Exactly! One should know that when visiting a Cypriot you should only leave when your host/hostess has decided you can. This is usually indicated when they stop talking to you (big give away) and start ushering you out of the door whilst saying something along the lines of 'Ate yia sas, jai ella, Makaronia tou fournou yia aurio..'then, and only then are you free to leave!

You know, even when I was younger I never trusted my parents when they said 'We're leaving'. I just used to pop my coat on, tie my shoe laces and...continue playing with my cousins, except this time nearer to the door...You see I had the Cypriot character sussed out even back then! 8)
