Let's talk about self-imposed isolation

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Because we do complain about Turkey and it is not all great but they only seem to hear that part. When we shout....BETTER THEM THAN YOUR OFFER! they still don't hear it.

Well I reckon that now applies to the TCs. :D

Don't think so....We still hate Tpap.....

Patti Hearst hated her rescuers too . . . she had to be de-brainwashed / de-fanaticised / de-programmed / de-something . . . (don't you just hate it when you can't quite think of the right word ) :D

No...Yes.......Maybe.........But you will get over it....Turkey did save your lives too

How dare you even suggest that!

Quick I need some statistics . . . .

Sorry to blow you off your trumpet Shah, most Cypriots are not happy with Turkey being there.

Here are some...Makarios asked his people to lay down their arms and not fight the coupists and the coupists shot them in cold blood anyway....Turkey came and the coupists were ousted....A Thank you would be the order of the day I think.

I live in Australia, I wish I lived in my country that had no occupying forces. I was recently on holiday and I made a new friend Mr Hassan who did not take sides and was honest about the Cyprus issue and the current situation. His views were very different to yours. One thing he made clear is that Cypriot people are suffering in the hands of Turkey.

I have said that also Humanist but it is not as bad as what Tpap has in store for us. `People on the ground in Cyprus are just about fed up with everything that is going on and I don't blame them one little bit but your suggesting that Turkey moving out will solve their problems is just plain nonsense. When they think back and see how Turkey has kept them alive and ticking over for decades then they will understand what it was all about. Do your part and lift the embargoes and until then you have no right to comment on what goes on internally. You are a major part of our problem and there is no turning away from that.

Makarios asked people not to fight the coupists? Hmmm..I don't know whether this is true, but I can't imagine it being so when, after all the Coupists were after his blood..

Well said the alternative to Turkey our only real ally for over 47 years are the GCs who want us to get rid of Turkey so that they can treat us fairly, come on even a 5 year old can work that one out. We need definite guidelines and structures to ensure we are not pushed to one side by GCs whos only aim is to sell the idea that we are all Cypriots and therefore the GCs being the larger number should rule supreme, you TCs can take your chances amongst us and hope in zillion years if you still exist that you may get a post as toilet cleaner in the GC state government buildings.
