Weathershield

Postby mpanayi » Wed Nov 28, 2007 10:32 pm

I dont usually speak out but on this occasion i feel i must purely to warn other people of what is going on. A friend of mine who used Weatherhield to weatherproof and seal her home against the elements has been totally ripped off. A small fortune 11000cyp was paid to them only to have had poor workmanship by unskilled workers who drag the job out to make it look as if your getting your moneys worth. They guarantee their work for 20 years but already parts of her home are starting to flake. Obviously the poor materials they must have used are taking effect. She is overwhelmed with grief and cant believe that the guarantee small print voids almost everything. Cyprots, ex-pats and fellow citizens you have been warned keep away from these charlatans.

a company who provides paint work shielding to homes to save you repainting a again ...

the fact is ...that both ex pats and locals provide shoddy work now ...at one time i seem to remember a lot of ex pats sticking togeather to avoid getting shafted by local con men ..

now we have brit builders out here conning locals ,brit estate agents conning and sadly i must admit i have seen loads of these do it all guys ...normally guys who did bugger all ..offering painting /woodwork craft to brits ...who again turn out to be shit

we employed a brit to build a wooden fence around my house ...his quote was similar to a greek cyps quote ...yet the varnish coating was so thinly applied we had to do it again ....4 times ...

i understand we have british commitees out here for both housing standards and advice ...i want to see these guys gain more momentum and support and open there doors to work with locals and raise the standards of expectancy to all on the island ..its time the govenment also go a kick up the ass from overseas buyers who pay 100000s for property to see some standards enforced ..i have seen houses 9 months old, which need repainting ..

its time the websites and services of these groups are past on between the community but also we accept the fact that local business persons can do the job too ...unity will take the country and communities forward ...

I can understand and appreciate the sarcasm but the fact is these guys have gone to town and are blizting Paphos and other parts with wave after wave of advertising, cold calling, radio , supermarkets, events you name it. They also have slick proffesional salesmen that prey on the elderly. As i said on my first post i dont usually speak out but these guys come across as experianced workmen. check it out www.weathershieldcyprus.com.

Hello mpamayi,
what I can suggest for Your friend is to call me on 99 88 26 59. I am a polish engineer and I am am starting with my small business on Cyprus. I am doing the Flat Roof Waterproofing System, based on glass reinforced polyester (the same material as the boats are made from). I am giving 20 years guarantee, but expecting lifetime of this waterproof material is approx. 40 years! Would be nice to help them and the price I am charging is muuuuuuch smaller!!!
