Mohammed is one of the most popular names and its no surprise that the class chose that as their favourite name. why couldn't they just have had a word with the teacher and explained that it was not appropriate? Maybe, they are using this somewhat trivial incident to deflect the world's eyes and ears away from the terrible attrocities being committed in the rebel regions..........

I agree Tess. I had a friend who worked out there in the 80's and they were caught red handed with booze in their apartment. He was sent home.

Let's all agree that "fundamentalists" exist in all religions. You don't see other religions beheading non-believers or sentencing a woman who was gang raped to 200 lashes because she was in a car with a non-male relative. Seems some people are still living if the crusades were ongoing. Take a chill pill

It is a clash between civilization and backwardness, between the civilized and the primitive, between barbarity and rationality. It is a clash between freedom and oppression, between democracy and dictatorship. It is a clash between human rights, on the one hand, and the violation of these rights, on other hand. It is a clash between those who treat women like beasts, and those who treat them like human beings. What we see today is not a clash of civilizations. Civilizations do not clash, but compete.
:D

I think the belief in what you say is the clash and it is happening here.
