Someone should put an end to this madness

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby humanist » Tue Nov 27, 2007 10:36 pm

Well obviously the bloody security gueards at the Mall of Cyprus aren't doing a good job then. Perhas the Mall of Cyprus ought to employee Cypriots who speak Turkish to work in pairs with Greek speaking security guards. That will provide jobs, build friendships and curb vandalism and violence.

GR I think we can do better. A reminder from VP every now and then is not such a bad thing.

Btw, Orphanides has plenty of security all over the place and I've never seen anything there but shopping tranquility...

You look but you do not see as it does not suit you and ignorance is bliss, you dont have to address anything or solve any problems, well done GR keep up the good work your doing a great job at not unifying this island.

According to the information our newspaper has received, there has been an alarming increase in the number of attacks against Turkish Cypriots at the Orphanides Shopping Centre over the past two weeks. We await the announcement by the Minister of Interior of the outcome of a police report regarding an incident in which two Greek Cypriots stopped a Turkish Cypriot car before smashing its windows with iron bars. Again in the same area, information is awaited as to whether a Greek Cypriot youth was arrested, having stopped a Turkish Cypriot woman’s car to cover its windscreen with a Greek flag. A great number of cars in Carrefour’s car park have been sprayed with paint. Someone has to stand up and give us some answers about these incidents. ""

I condemn such behaviour and sincerely hope that the authorities do what they preach. I would personally intervene if such acts were to occur in my presence. THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION IN ACTING IN A MANNER LIKELY TO INFLAME FEELINGS AND INCITE VIOLENCE.
One wrong does not justify another. I will never justify or excuse in any way such behavior.

Thanks miltiades, but just judge what other Gcs have posted, the mocking and joking is a prime example of why we will not trust GCs because in a united Cyprus thats how GCs woudl deal with these problems just make a joke out of them.

humanist we are only TCs in the "RoC" second class citizens as we were in 1963 onwards nothing has really changed, you may not want to see this but just read the comment of your GC commrades and look at it from this side of the border.

Sorry but I don't expect anything to change anytime soon. As for support and sympathy from forum members, again not likely. OK, Miltiades is an exception.

Let me remind you of who we are dealing with here VP. We have a thread titled "Bloody Turks"which was started by a well respected GC member. We have a member who repeatedly tells us that we may enjoy our time in the TRNC now but our grand children will one day pay for this with their lives. Need i say more?

We are hated with a passion but some of our TC members don't mind because they'd rather be close to sweet-tongued GCs as opposed to foul mouthed TCs. Good choice Ha.

Yeah, you forgot to mention S.Stefanou who was killed a month ago in your dungeons!

Had Stefanos had the choice of getting his car turned into a total write-off even I'm sure he would've opted for that!

VP , you perfectly well know where I stand .The minority of irresponsible G/Cs are NOR representative of the people at large any more thanyou are representative of the T/C people. As far as I'm concerned a T/C in Orphanides or any other part of Cyprus is to me a Cypriot compatriot.
Everything being well I should be in Cyprus this coming Friday , I shall keep an eye out . I will be visiting the Cancer Centre on Tuesday the 4th , I hope Halil is around , but can always get a cab. As for that scoundrel Fanos I hope , for his sake , he does the decent thing as I intend to pursue the matter with the local police .

Miltiades words are not enough, you are a minority look at the response of GR a prime example of the majority of Gcs, you can kid yourself but we will never again fall into that trap.

If you want to investigate a REAL crime start in your own back yard VP...
and when you're done solving that you can come and slap the youths who put an RoC flag over a TCs windshield!
