If you were as bright and intelligent as you profess to be you would have noticed they sign who is posting at the bottom of each post .

There are to many Cypriots whether they are Turkish speaking or Greek speaking like you that are preventing any possible solution .

Interesting to note that you live in the UK as I've found that most of the hot headed nationalistic people don't actually live in Cyprus ~ must be something in the UK's water that turns you and others into patriotic monsters.

Instead of slagging everybody off on this forum put your efforts into getting rid of the 40,000 occupation army and the hordes of Turkish settlers then perhaps there might be a settlement with your Turkish speaking brothers.

You know it makes sense .

firstly bill i am neither angry or sad! secondly you would never be my neighbour cos i live in a detached house! the 1 sort of neighbour that i do have is an 83 year old gentleman and we do his shopping on a semi-weekly basis and my wife cooks for him, so i dont think he has too much of a problem with us tbh. next point if you are english which you maybe with a name like bill then id rather you didnt talk to me about the cyprob as we all know who was at least partly to blame for that! and have you ever thought about the possibility that some gc`s that have lived away from cy for most of their lives may find it hard to return cos they cant bear to see what cy and its people have become? cos i know plenty of brits who feel like that about england! see if you are indeed english bill then what do you care? for you cy is just living in paradise on the beach in the sun! dont judge me you havnt a clue!

Yes you are right ~~ we all know who was to blame.

Lets start with Turkey as they have always wanted Cyprus back ~ it's been a long term plan ~ they didn't get it all back but have most of the north and eastern coast .

Then go to the Greek generals who answered the plea of the patriotic Greeks in Cyprus and through their invasion gave Turkey the excuse it needed.

Then to the Greek speaking Cypriots who mistakenly wanted enosis with Greece ~ for heavens sake most of the mainland Greeks don't even like the Cypriots and regard them as peasants

Plus the Turkish speaking Cypriots who basically wanted the same after being infiltrated by Turkish troublemakers.

Now we throw in the Americans who at the time needed Turkey and were great allies with them ~ they were pissed off because they couldn't have a base on Cyprus soil plus Makarious worried them by talking to Russia .

Now down to the English who basically do what America says and were still sore over the Eoka B business.

So who is actually to blame I think both sides got exactly what they deserved ~ the GC's losing part of the island and the TC's under a occupation army ~ the end result is that nobody is happy .

Both parties are equally to blame with obviously influence from outside parties and now you are stuck with the end result .

Treat your Turkish speaking brothers with respect ~~ they could be more useful than you think as the majority of them don't like being under turkey's rule either.

As for the fact if I'm English or not you should never go off a forum nik ~ they can be very deceptive .

I rarely post on the cy problem as my views are often not compatible with the general forum views ~ on both side of the divide ~ perhaps now you can see why.
