That's only half the story... he was then rushed to hospital where he came to and without delay took a swing at the doctor, missed, and landed on a tranquilizer syringe. Nobody could believe this guy so they searched his pockets for an ID which read... "Loser"

Its sad that you have nothing positive to say about Cypriot girls. Why not balance your statement with all the positives?

I was only talking about them when it comes to relationships Deniz...

As you say Bubbles there is good and bad wherever you go!

Talking about 'adults' my husband witnessed an older gentleman near the Germasoyia roundabout so drunk he hit a car then bounced on and off the central reservation. When he finally had to stop in his car which was now a wreck the guy who's car he hit got out to see if he was ok and took a swing at him, missed and fell over!![/quote]

OMG Did anyone have a camera :?: That must have been some sight to witness :?: Too many people drink and drive over here, it is a way of life  sometimes death follows and not always for the drunk :!:

I hate drink drivers

I DO live in the most civilised part of the UK . . . . a beautiful Regency-inspired, middle-class paragon of culture . . . and the city-centre streets are decorated with vomit and take-away boxes in the morning. The headlines in the local paper are invariably about the behaviour of girls being more aggressive in their partying then the boys etc.

It's not hypocritical Niki precisely because I did not say ALL.

So where is this "more civilized part of the UK" . . . you certainly never found it . . . . and neither have I.

If Cyprus is the "more civilised part of the UK" that the Brits are running away to . . . I hope the Cypriots are wise enough to guard against the possible baggage that comes with this state of affairs . . . instead of thinking in their small town ways that everything foreign must be good and everything native must be second rate.

I lived in a small town in Suffolk which was actually quite civilised although Suffolk does have it's fair share of dodgy areas. However I grew up in Liverpool so I've seen both sides although I would prefer to live in Merseyside for the people and the atmosphere. I notice as well that girls in Liverpool seem to make more effort to look good than most places I've seen, and I have lived in many areas in the UK.

In Cyprus most of the young people out for the night do seem to be more respectful and don't fall over drunk as much as they do in the UK. Also I think the young girls are quite lovely here. Maybe it's the dark hair and more exotic look!

As for the takeaway boxes I would say Cyprus is far worse. Cyprus is appalling for rubbish left everywhere which is such a shame, it's such a beautiful country.

That sentence needs a little qualifying . . .

This is just a personal observation which is why I said "seems to be more respectful". I see groups of girls out at night who are having a great time but just drinking water or coke, I have rarely seen young Cypriots falling over drunk (although I've seen a few older guys rather worse for wear). Maybe I've been blinkered but it was one of the things that impressed me about Cyprus that maybe my girls would be a little more protected from the binge drinking culture you can get more often in the UK.

There is also a greater respect for authority and the older generation here.

....in my humble opinion! 8)

Well done.... Much better! :D

Wow - patronising! You do push it sometimes.

Well Niki considering more often than not you challenge me . . . then I have to respond.

However, I do tend to let you have the last word . . . or are you going to prove me wrong?

"'EazyE, why ya' zippa down?'

'E-Z access, baby.'"

from the "Eazy-Duz-It" album. EazyE, RIP. (1963-1995)

EasyE, is it warm enough where you are to not have a heated discussion? Can we just go outside and have a chill chat?
