Cyprus Population

Postby kurupetos » Sun Nov 25, 2007 12:30 am

Hello

What is the actual total population in Cyprus? (whole island)

My guess is around 1.3 million since we have:

800 000 GC in free area
100 000 foreign permanent residents, workers (legal/illegal)
50 000 greeks (Pontians, etc.)
350 000 TC & turkish settlers & turkish army in occupied area

What do you think?

Surely the 2001 Census shows everybody?

Do the TCs bother to record their ever-increasing numbers? . . . and can all those settlers read and write to fill a Census?

Seriously, what would the literacy rate be for the illegal Turkish settlers? :?

The summary is:

1) Not enough GCs
2) Too many Turks

Humanist, do you have children ? Are you planning to have children? I think you must!

Judging by your photo, I think you would have handsome children . . . so I wish you well in finding a suitable partner.

I am really good at matchmaking BTW . . . I have a few successes under my belt . . . and a few Godchildren because of that.

So when you are next in Cyprus . . . I shall weave my magic on you with someone suitable :D
