thnx phoenix ........ though I want to have children I don't necessarily want a partner. though that would be nice also. but they don't have to be two in the same ;)

If we had some idea of literacy rates in Turkey, they may be an indicator.

However, it would be interesting to compare and see if the settlers had a higher rate of illiteracy than the mainlanders . . . suggesting Turkey may be sending over its more troublesome sections of the population.

800 000 GC in free area
100 000 foreign permanent residents, workers (legal/illegal)
50 000 greeks (Pontians, etc.)
350 000 TC & turkish settlers & turkish army in occupied area
