Well, my fellow Anorthosiatis, Kostas Attas, the left back of Anorthosis was my PE teacher at the B' Dimotiko, also known by the name Mantzourio after the family who built and donated the school to the municipality. For a time I used to be in the Anorthosi club nearly everyday playing ping pong and also learning to play drums for their band. We left for England before I had become good enough. ALso followed their training on the pitch with that foreign coach of theirs.

I remember your uncle at the Alasia very well. One day I was stung by a dragon fish in the sea. I went back to change in the changing rooms of the Alasia and nearly fainted from the pain. He carried me to the ambulance. Happy days!

I wonder if we will ever walk down Democratias and along the beach before the final check out.

I do hope we do , I'm going to make certain we are joined by some of our old football heroes !!!
I was born in 1946 and I guess I'm a few years older than you , I estimate your age at about 58 -59 . Were you born in Varosi ?
I have many relations in Varosi from my mothers side , she was from Kato Platres but moved to Ayios Loukas from an early age .
Where in London /UK did you live ?

Miltiades,

I was born in 1950 inside the walls of Nicosia. We moved to Famagusta in 1958 when my father was appointd district education inspector. We then moved to London, Harringay naturally, in 1963. But Varosi remains my chosen home town.

I left London for Athens in 1976. At that time it was impossible to return to Cyprus, still recovering from the invasion, and Athens was a second best. Well, I got stuck here now. But there is not one single day that I do not remember Varosi and life there. And every day I lay a silent curse on those that destroyed it.

ps. What does bre Miltiades stand for mate ?

So your real problem is with the actions of your "motherland", whom sent "indigenous" Cypriots to Cyprus several billion years ago, and all the trouble that they caused us, the "Cypriots". Would it be fair to say by your comments that Greece is the primary cause of the Cyprob to which we all are paying the ultimate price for ?

Or, perhaps if the "POUSTOKALAMARADES GENERALS" were more adequate as men, then the Cyprob would not exist as TC's would also not exist either ?

"Bre" is just slang for "re, vre, etc" in the North old man, you know...the other end of Cyprus where your "non existent" Cypriot bretheren live.

No one is just Cypriot, no such thing, people still identify themselves as either Turkish ro Greek Cypriots this we are all Cypriots shit is accomadate the GCs demand for a GC state which has power all over the island with Gc in charge and us out of the political picture, thus power.
