Goodnight Snoopy...

Oh, sorry that's a line from Peanuts!

Hmm..I was going say, even though I don't remember all of the characters names, I'm pretty sure Johnboy didn't have a brother/sister called Snoopy..Although that might have made the show slightly more interesting..

May we have just a couple of examples of how you perceive that in a democracy the democratic rights and above all the human rights of the T/Cs or other Cypriots would be jeopardised , walked upon or ignored. You have mentioned the likelihood of T/Cs being persecuted or worst .
What examples can you give , lets say steps taken by the ROC that would be detrimental to the T/C community .
You are always expressing such fears , please tell us the areas that you feel that such fears might become a reality.
Put up or shut up .

Stop trade with Turkey.

Severe diplomatic ties with Turkey.

Give Cyprus to Greece.

Make Greek the only official language.

GCs are devious and will do everything within their power to oust TCs out of power sharing and even the country. If you claim you are not then prove it accept safeguards which Give Cyprus to the Greeks !!!will ensure you do not do the things you already claim you will never do.

WHAT A PATHETIC ANSWER , Come now , are you a person that HAS NEVER KNOWN G/Cs the author of this or was it given to you by your propaganda machine.
For fs man , I'm doing business with Turkey as we talk !!

Cut the crap and answer the question please.[/quote
Answer what question mate , that Cyprus will be handed on a plate tp a foreign country , ( just as the occupied part has been handed to Turkey )
You must be dreaming , we are an independent nation and the WHOLE world sees us as that apart from the invaders it appears !!
Make Greek the ONLY official language ?? Well mate 33 years on and the Turkish language still appears on our currency , also the words KIMLIK KARTI and KIBRIS CUMHURIYETIis on every single ID that the ONLY Republic of Cyprus recognised issues. Why should trade with Turkey be severed mate if Turkey abandons her plans to control the destiny of Cyprus ?

So we now know what VP'S fundamental worries are . Let us list them so thar we we may refer to them at some point.

VP's MAIN CONCERNS ARE , SHOULD CYPRUS BE RE UNITED :
1. Stop trade with Turkey.

2. Severe diplomatic ties with Turkey.

3. Give Cyprus to Greece.

4. Make Greek the only official language.

THE MIND BOGGLES !!

You are yet again avoiding the question, can we TCs stop the GCs from taking the above decisions if we have do not have veto rights? or do you suggest we sing the we are all Cypriots song and leave everything to the mercy of GCs?

You have learned shit al form 1964 to 1974, try harder miltiades you will drag innocent people into a 82% vs 18% imbalance where they will have no control over their future and o way of stooping ruthless GCs from turning the whole island into a GC state with us as just another minority.

VP , I can see your concerned that if the T/C community does not have the right to veto Government decisions might be detrimental to the interests / safety of the T/C community.
I understand your concerns and I will respond later on today since I'm just off to work now .

"Wrong. there will never be a fair plan since the one part is the winner of a war.!!!!!and is still continue to have the military power. " says Epsilon.

This idea that we lost a war and then suffered a diplomatic defeat is very much in the foreground when "progressive" mainland Greek politicians speak in the media. An almost exact statement was made during the talks of the Annan plan by Stefanos Tzoumakas (forme minister and founding member of PASOK party).

Now you Greek Cypriots in this forum listen to this logic carefully: Greece attempted to overturn the lawful governemtn of Cyprus, it failed, but this attempt did give Turkey an excuse to indave and grab a third of the island. In other words Greece risked not an inch of its own territory, it caused Cyprus to lose a third of its territory, and now some Greek politician are suggesting that WE get realistic over this! It is a "we fought, you lost" type of deal.

A logical response to this kind of thinking would be: well, you fought, you lost, how about you giving Mytilene and Chios to Turkey so we can have our land back? Not acceptable, huh! Now you can see our point of view a little better I hope Epsilon.

Another note for Cypriots here. During the debates in Greece over the Annan plan, some "journalists" said that Afxentiou and Matsis and Karaolis had carried out ethnic cleansing against Turkish Cypriots. The anchormen hosting the talks said nothing to contravene this gross lie. Only in ONE instance there was a Cypriot journalist who reminded these assholes that these men had been killed or executed by the British by March 1957 and the first intercommunal clashes started a year later.

An interesting footnote- some of these "journalists" are paid by the US embassy for "briefings" and familiarisation lectures and a few have grown quite rich in the last few years. All of them were in favor of the Annan plan.

Bearing in mind also that when Cyprus was offered to Greece ON A PLATE it was rejected , ok there was the condition of Greece participating militarily on the side of the British , yet there are still people who are suffering from the incessant brainwashing that they are GREEKS !!
As far I'm concerned the Greek politicians are the worlds worst diplomats after Rober Mugabe's lot !!! They have nothing to teach us , we have nothing to gain from them or their social and family structures. The needy and the sick are treated in a disgraceful manner by the public at large , they are a crafty race only interested in artificial gains .Those wishing to join Greece can f..of to Greece , and those wishing to join the other jokers can also piss of Turkey. WE DO NOT NEED EITHER OF THESE FOREIGN NATIONS TO LOOK AFTER US. WE ARE DOING RATHER WELL ON OUR OWN.

And that Miltiades is what irks them and makes them want to cut us down to their size. And it goes for both sides. The unfortunate TCs are going through it more than us these days.

I read you worked at the Alasia in Famagusta. I am sure we bumped into each other some time between 1958 and 1963. It was our favorite spot for swimming and dining back then.

Why do you think I loath Greeks so much? These spineless cowards couldn’t even defend a Turkish invasion on their very own Imia rocks let alone come to the aid Cyprus!

Its high time ALL Greek Cypriots woke up to this cancer called Greece…
