My two year old hamster is wobbly on her legs today. Every so often she topples over . . .

I love hamsters and was the first to bring them to Cyprus sometime in 1983/4; now they're all over the place! They only last 2 to 2.5 years so you may have a case of a very old hamster on his/her way to hamster heaven...

Which variety did you take over? . . . Tamo is Syrian.

Did you breed them yourself?

I wouldn't have a clue which breed... mine were VERY fluffy to the point where by the age of two all you could see was a ball of fluff wiggling around!

I bred the first 100 odd but by the 4rth generation inbreeding had set in and I started having a few deformities... I then sold the "farm" off to a pet shop in Limassol and left for Australia.

PS: They have the world record for the shortest gestation period of just 15 days!

I look forward to having one of your inbred "babies" when I move over to Cyprus.
