Dinos...is that a competition between Larnaca and Nicosia?
As far as i am concerned lena mou there is no contest between larnaca and nicosia!

I agree Nicosia is the best by far!

I think he was implying that Larnaca is best ~~ and I must say I agree with him :D .

I have 3 close friends and a god daughter living in Nicosia and whilst I enjoy visiting them and going out for a meal with them I usually can't wait to get on the highway back to the sunny sea side town of Larnaca  .

Oh by the way NONE of those people I visit in Nicosia have central heating

Bill
thanks bill, thats exactly what i was saying, whats the point living in cyprus and being in the hottest smelliest part miles away from the beach? if i want the hustle and bustle of a capital city then i come back to london for a while, also i cant bare being in nicosia and seeing, and hearing anything to do with turks! also i hate the traffic in nicosia and the way that it bears no resemblence to the nicosia i remember as a child growing up, its just full of people who read the cosmopolitan magazine and pretend to be european! the only thing i do like about nicosia are the greek nightclubs! thats it!

Larnaca is more layed back, I feel I am forced going to Nicosia to do my jobs. I hate going there, it's the traffic mostly I hate. The shops are huge there, people are nice too.

Far better than other cities when it come to lots of things but is the capital and is busy...and is not all day long so bad. Well I never had to work in the center but a bit further. Not that is better since I had to cross the roads that connect Colleges, embassies and center. I still can say ... Cyprus is heaven at least you can put loud your music, yell at people talk on your mobile (with hands free always) until you move further and go home relaxed since you got out of your body all this stress from works. :D

I know it is better than other cities, I use to live in a small city in England. We had more stuff there and it was all spread out, no traffic no nothing (there was traffic at sales). I have been in Nicosia and I thought why is it like this, but if you notice there is too many shops and businesses on huge flats with limited parkings in a relatively short distance. Why do they need huge flats holding businesses in a vertually empty city.

I like Cyprus, just don't like travelling in the capital, one hour there drains me completely. People their are nice though.

I guess freezing does not sound that bad anymore :-)... is it expensive to run? I put my airconditioning on heat and to be honest it's cr*p, I get a sore throught every time it's on. Does this have the same problem?

Of course not! Those ₤200..600 units they sell with the small single-phase compressors are crap mate... there's just no comparison!

sounds to me that it does the same sort of job as what i already have! except it`s way overpriced! why would i care what electrical system it runs on? how does any of that benefit me? made in israel? for gods sake man they hardly lead the way in electronics do they? sounds to me like you were ripped off! why would i want grilles in my ceilings?

Great pubs, restaurants, cafeterias, shops, we've got the lot... even politicians! :)

Btw, the last time DT and I were at an Irish pub together, Charilaos Stavrakis was sitting just behind us... another time Averoff was a couple of seats down... you get that in Nicosia and it's funny... :)
