Let me get this straight... you want all GCs to turn gay or you won't unite with them?

Yeah man, you got it spot on. Gay people are kind, generous, tolerant and much much more. Gays rule. 8) 8) 8)

And most importantly, they are useless shots.    Wouldn't know how to pull a trigger of a gun.

Man I live in one of the world's gay capitals and I gotta say we don't have those kinda gays here. Can I come to your gay kingdom? ;)

on a more serious note thank you for the compliment but that is an over exageration.I'll give them the a little more tolerant bit but nothing else.

I have come accross straight people who are generous, kind and tolerant

humanist your comment in a normal situation are warranted and I would agree 100% but this i Cyprus we have a history of mistrust and hidden agendas, to move forward we need plenty of safeguards to ensure everyone sticks to their end of the bargain and this does not just include the GCs it includes us as well. The penalties for taking steps like for example the Aktritas plan 2007 style should be made clear from the outset in order to deter moves by both sides to change the rules for the benefit of either community. That's all we want until a time when as you say everyone can feel comfortable with being just a Cypriot, we are a peace loving people and do not want to gain on anyone losses but we will not be pushed around or disregarded, this country is as much ours as it is GCs but we want an effective say in our own future.

I just chose this spot (as it does claim to be about flags - remember?) to point out that for the last month or so the immigration shed at the Ledra Palace crossing has only had a Greek flag flying above it - and a rather dirty one at that. The pole that should have the RoC flag is empty. I don't suppose that there is any significance, but I think someone should do something about it, especially before complaining about Turkish flags.

And for the record, I'm not too enthusiatic about the flags on the Beşparmak.

It seems many TC's are against the flags Observer, but guess what, you are being ignored, just because the Fanatics has the backing of all the settlers, which has taken power away from the decent TC's.

Yep, just like the "Pigs in Animal Farm", the Fanatics are in control of the "TRNC".

If ROC flag was not in position this was wrong but allow me to remind you that the Greek flag is there in line with the Zurich agreement on basis which ROC still exist.

Not entirely sure that I agree totally since the RoC constitution says:
Article 4 []
1. The Republic shall have its own flag of neutral design and colour, chosen jointly by the President and the Vice-President of the Republic.
2. The authorities of the Republic and any public corporation or public utility body created by or under the laws of the Republic shall fly the flag of the Republic and they shall have the right to fly on holidays together with the flag of the Republic both the Greek and the Turkish flags at the same time.
3. The Communal authorities and institutions shall have the right to fly on holidays together with the flag of the Republic either the Greek or the Turkish flag at the same time.
4. Any citizen of the Republic or any body, corporate or unincorporate other than public, whose members are citizens of the Republic, shall have the right to fly on their premises the flag of the Republic or the Greek or the Turkish flag without any restriction.

If the RoC is what it claims to be then on government buildings there should be the Greek flag and the Turkish flag. However, I can understand you not wishing to have a Turkish flag - I wouldn't want a Greek flag flying over my government buildings. But in such a prominent place, you shouldn't have just a Greek flag flying alone.

I think that you are being a little harsh on us - or are you such an automaton that you agree with every single thing that your government does?

I dont see any stipulation that there must be TCs present. Your currency still carry's the denomination in three languages.
