Many aspects of human sexuality are very puzzling, take celibacy.
This can be a choice in life, or a condition imposed by environmental factors.
While attending a Marriage Encounter Weekend, Robert and Mary listened to the instructor declare
"It is essential that husbands and wives know the things that are important to each other."
He addressed the men. "Can you each name and describe your wife's favourite flower?"
Robert leaned over, touched Mary's arm gently and whispered
"Self raising, isn't it?"

Thus began Robert's life of celibacy........................................................(following his stint in hospital) !!

I have a similar story but this time it's true ~~ sadly very true .

A good few years ago when we went to visit my middle son and his wife in their first house I was surprised to see a expensive dish washer in the kitchen ~ when I mentioned how nice it looked and if it really got the dishes really clean my new daughter in law said ~~~~~~

"you've got a dishwasher ~ haven't you "

My reply of "yes ~ I certainly have ~~ she's sitting over there" and then pointing to my wife brought a stunned silence to the room.

That gave me a complete understanding of celibacy ~~ thankfully it was only temporary ( just a few weeks ) until she calmed down and I'd been forced into buying her a new pack of those spongy things that are rough on one side to clean the dishes with.

I've always thought I had a good sense of humour ~~ it's so sad to see that some don't share that view .

To put the record straight before some of you have a go at me for being mean and not buying a dishwasher I'd better explain that my wife is cypriot and she wouldn't use a dish washer even if she had one as she prefer to do it by hand ~~~ thankfully this "doing it by hand" hasn't yet spread to other parts of our relationship
