Papadopoulos Vs Papadopoulos

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Papadopoulos Vs Papadopoulos

Postby Bananiot » Sat Nov 17, 2007 7:05 pm

Very interesting, from "Politis", first in Greek and then in English:

Tassos (yesterday, 16/11/2007): What specifically the Turkish side means is the reunification under the Annan Plan, which of course does anything but reunites Cyprus.

Tassos (3/5/2004): We shall continue our efforts on the agreed policy and strategy, which says that we want an initiative to restart which will aim at some improvements on the Annan Plan.

More to follow ...

Conclusion: he improved ;)

Papadopoulos, never accept the AP as it was, but only with significant changes. I guess he now realized that the Annan partition plan is fundamentally wrong and beyond repair.

So he has nothing but hot air and international humiliation...I hope you vote him back in, he has done more good for partition that any other leader, we are further away from a solution than we have ever been.

Here is another one that proves what an utrustworthy person he is:

Tassos (yesterday, 17/11/2007): The Annan Plan anticipated the perpetuation of the partition tendencies.

Tassos (9/5/2004): We need to pursue some changes to the Annan Plan that will make it more functional and therefore viable.

These quotes clearly demonstrate that Mr Papadopoulos was open minded and hopeful that the Annan plan would meet requirements. He gave the Annan plan credence to deliver a workable solution. I like that!

Evidently, Mr Papadopoulos then proved wise enough to reject the plan once it was not improved to the point of acceptability.

The Annan Plan failed to come up to our President's expectations.

Shame on Annan!. . . and back to the drawing board for honest reunification.

Well done Mr. Papadopoulos for not being a "Yes" man . . . :D
