2 parking tickets in 2 days! I was told tickets are rare!

One of them (for £50) was along a pavement with no yellow lines and lots of other cars parked in the same place. How was I supposed to know?

Are they having a parking ticket spree?

Sorry to hear that Niki mou. The same thing happened to me in March. I was parked on the road, no yellow lines, no other sign to say 'no parking' (I deliberately checked for them!) and I was sandwiched between 2 other cars which were actually parked on the pavement. It was outside my friend's shop and as I was no longer in the area she intervened on my behalf. Alas, to no avail. I received a 15 pounds fine as the warden thought it unfair not to give me one when the other 2 vehicles were getting them!!! What kind of justice is that

When I went to enquire about it I was told I had to pay first even if I wanted to appeal I could not see the head honcho, so basically I got nowhere and to add insult to injury when I enquired why the cars parked on double yellow lines outside the office were not being issued with tickets, I was given the answer "They are here paying their fines" I had to laugh

I see you have adjusted well to Cypriot parking methods...

You are now ready for the second phase of your training which involves parking on dual yellow lines and getting away with it!

This is achieved by placing the old parking fine you now have under your wiper before you leave your car, and when the next lazy Cypriot traffic cop approaches he'll see the green paper under the wiper and just drive off easily convinced that the previous shift already booked you! Works every time...
