Hahaha that was funny...

but sad at the same time

I miss the 8MB broadband for £25.99UK from when I was studying in London :(

And that was BT which is considered expensive.

So my Lebanese friend you better forget about having a high speed connection in Cyprus,
unless you want to cut off some other expenses such as water and electricity maybe?

If you are a gamer like I used to be then you could try other games like online backgammon or chess and kiss your old gaming days goodbye :(

 So does that mean that my 512/128 connection is NOT considered "high speed" ? :(

Hehe, I'm not even sure if it's even considered broadband anymore in the rest of the world. Pretty sure 256 was not fast enough to get the name a little while back. Probably moved on. If I remember rightly 4mbps was the bottom package where I used to live in the UK (a year ago). Here 4mbps costs a massive amount. Luckily the average wage and massively low cost of living average things out somewhat.... How do you add sarcasm tags again? :)

For more chuckles and laughes then check out Cytanet's homepage and track down web hosting packages. Must have been high when they thought of those prices. Then again probably lines up with 10 years ago, when those pages were likely to have been last updated (if the bi-monthly update on the same page is anything to go by; not been updated since last november)...

Now to wait and see when the 1st of september speed increases for Cytanet are going to actually be implemented (cos email support don't bloody know when)....

Cheers

BT is useless and the best internet I had was provided my Uni. We all have huge problems with internet lately. Left Tiscali a month ago and still having problems with reliable BT! And I spend so muck money on the phone calling them and waiting somebody to answer that phone and end up with Indian guy who did not know what to do so i had to rung again and again.

Cyprus is a paradise even with expensive Internet.
