Zan I just don't see how painting even more flags on the mountains will ever help to bring Cypriots together, if anything it'll serve to pull them apart even more..

It seems to me that the point of no return is is upon us Natty.....I am not totally happy at the prospect but I think we have been ignored long enough. I wish they would use another method of making our voices heard than flags but just like the Americans the Turks love their flags.

Zan I really hope that the point of no return isn't upon us..maybe I'm naive in thinking that one day we will live in a Unified Cyprus, but I know that the adding of these flags will just increase bitterness, and what good will that do for the future of Cyprus? (And as you say, surely there are other ways of making people's voices heard?)

There is no doubt that the main purpose of the painted flag is to give the other side one gigantic 'middle-finger gesture'. It's a not-so-subtle reminder of the partition. Of course, with the 'Kill Turks' slogans dotting buildings in the south facing northward...

The flags will be supplied by Turkeys money....The "beggars" are the TURKISH CYPRIOTS that you killed and persecuted and have had under siege since 1963. Even now you refuse them the money under their own name because you do not want the world to know we exist.......The world knows though and just like the UK will find a way around your tricks......
