Yes, this is his first name. He is a member for Kyrenia of the UBP's Party Assembly (Denktash's party).

Satellite photos can clearly see the painted flag. Several websites on the internet can show this.

Well done  . . . now you have the attention you crave, how about behaving better, so that no one (but us) cottons on to how uncivilised you behave!

Expensive project

According to a report on this story in the Turkish Cypriot Vatan newspaper:

http://www.vatangazetesi.com/haberdetay ... berID=5734

the project is expected to cost "80 billion". I can only assume that this is in old Turkish lira, which equates to 80 million new Turkish lira. That is still a cool 26 million Cyprus pounds. Can this figure be right?
The Association states that it is going to start a campaign to collect this money.

Dont get me wrong Phoenix. I love my flag but fluttering in the sky and not on the soil. Not for incitement and we need not be reminded as to what we are. We know.

The good old fashioned jouirnalist axiom is "follow the money" and that explains a lot! Twenty six million pounds a large part of which will go to all kinds of consultants, design specialists, contractors and ..... we know the scene. Very ingenius!!!! If the sum is not collected in total and the project is cancelled I wonder if there is a provision to return the money to the "victims"! Cavlantis indeed!!!
