I have a friend who want to come and study in Cyprus. He heard that our government introduce a new law for students, that allows them to work 20 hours per week! Is that true? Anybody knows?

Not yet, and that law is aimed at students from third world countries.

From a third country ie not EU. But then as dms007 most of them are 3rd world!

EU directives states they should be able to work as students but Parliamnet has not ratified nor clarified the law. As of yet...students are not legally entitled to work against EU law. Go Cyprus

Yes but he want to work in Cyprus...so he has to follow Cyprus laws...
