How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Piratis wrote:T_C, I think what DT. said is enough:

Stephis told me to do everything possible and not to let anyone at home know that he was in pain. He asked me to take care of his grandchildren, (my boy and girl) and said to let them know that their grandfather was a brave man and had stood up to the animals that beat him. I told him to stop being an idiot and that we'd straighten this whole thing out.

The man knew they were going to kill him. Unless you are going to tell me that his death was from "natural causes" and he simply predicted that his time had come.

They killed him, and "they" in this case is not just some psychopath individual, or bad policemen. It is obvious from the sequence of events that the order came from above, and above in this case is the Turkish army which rules the occupied areas. Instead of trying to diminish this event to a "police brutality" one, you should admit what is going on in occupied areas and in Turkey itself where the army rules and many decent people are murdered by it.

I agree with what you say Piratis, What DT said was enough. Yet you immediately contradict yourself and state that the Turkish Army Ordered this sickening behaviour. Sometimes I want to credit you with some intelligence, then this happens. Dont you think that the last thing the Turkish Army wants and Turkey wants is this kind of publicity?
You should not use this as a platform to suit your own agenda.

This was Police brutality and we must see it for what it is. The bastards who did this should be brought to justice - if there is any- and suitably punished. If I had my way I'd feed them to the dogs.

Some of us do not visit the north because we want to preserve our memories of the place. The memories and our personal and family history is the only thing we have. Nothing to do with rapprochement. The more I hear of the north the less I want to see it and the reason is entirely personal not political.

These people were always against rapprochement and are always on the lookout to find or invent excuses to press home their point. Recently they started inventing sophistries in order to further their noble cause. They claim that only gamblers and night club visiting Greek Cypriots venture to the north. In this way they hope that anyone passing to the north will be associated with such low level activities and that people will be discouraged from going. On a personal level, Piratis (he is so good in this field) claimed that I only go across because I am protected by the Nazi regime, obviously because I am betraying my community. Thus, the picture now is clear. Only gamblers, lust-seeking individuals and traitors still go to the north. If one needs to visit, there must be a very important reason to do so, we are told.

I have one question. If I miss the company of my friend Halil and want to go across to have a coffee with him, is this an important reason to do so? To whom shal I apply to in order to get permission and furthermore a certificate that would clearly state that I did not visit a casino or a whore house?

So the two 50 meter flags that will go up on Pentataktilos is some kind of a promotion to encourage GCs to visit the north?

I am not sharing Kafenes with anyone! OK?  Well, if he asks nicely, I will move over. I asked my wife If I was really cuddly as per GRs statement. She said, 'How do I know'? I felt deflated.

DT i understand your frustration but government do not agree totally with people who cross the "borders", but as apply to democracy will not forbidden to anybody to do anything he want. If somebody decide to go to China is with his own risk same as here with the difference that going to China could have done something here government cannot do that much. Turkey never listens to what we say. I am deeply sorry for your loss, sadness and frustration.

Lena, sorry I don't understand your sentences fully, but I think I have a gist.

Moving within our own country should not have to be compared with travelling to far off places that have acceptable risks.

It is precisely because we want to restore rightful administration by the RoC to the whole island, so that people can travel freely within their own country, that we need to find a solution to this problem of Turkish atrocities perpetrated on Cyprus.

As Piratis pointed out, this sounds like a politically motivated killing.

So this is what it boils down to! My God, these nationalist tweeds have decided to destroy us, completely, as though they have not done enough damage already.
