Time to wake up in the south!

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby -mikkie2- » Tue Nov 13, 2007 1:30 pm

The crux is that Turkey wants to be the master in the north and a partner in the south.

The way she is doing it is by Turkifying the north by bringing in settlers, the TC's will eventually get fed up with this and many will end up leaving and coming to re-claim their land in the south and resettling. Menawhile, the GC refugees will get peanuts or nothing for their losses. The TC's will want to reclaim their rights under the RoCy and so the manipulation cycle of Turkey can begin again in the south! And all this is being done under the noses of the EU! Fantastic!

This is where the status quo will lead us. Therefore we need a solution as quickly as possible and one which safeguards the rights of Cypriots before the international community gives up completely and leaves us to our fate. Its not just the GC's that need to wake. The TC's also need to wake up to because their community is slowly being anhiliated by their so called saviours.

. . . And if those TCs from the north are disgruntled with Turkey and rejoin our functioning democracy, the RoC, in the south, then they will be declaring themselves as allies against Turkey. Which is a good thing for the RoC as it represents all those who want to be true citizens of Cyprus. Then, we all join forces, along with EU to oust the Turks from the north.

Even if they all move to the South the constitution will be altered....simple as that and the TCS again once a more will get the wrong end of the stick...They will only get what they do not want today...minority rights...Only because they are not doing enough today...They are waiting for the tomorrow or as Vips says for a better deal...

Vips claims he is happy with the status quo . . . that they have the perfect life in the north.

He claims we are the ones to lose if we prevaricate . . . because they will be recognised and then it is a fait accompli.

Sounds like they are beginning to panic and they are trying to scare us into accepting a half-baked deal that does not suit Cyprus in the long run.

vips is only happy with the status quo because it's the only way he can cover his illegalities...His bullshit story about being a cypriot doesn't hold water...he is a settler...

Every Cypriot in ths forum posts everywhere, zan, and even eric...We share something...You see we share a certain bond as Cypriots and this bond is killing vips...He is unable to communicate with other Cypriots...

You know what they say...you can take the boy out of Cyprus, but you can never take Cyprus out of the boy...

MR-from-NG referred to him as their "leader" when I upset the apple cart by suggesting that Vips was being reprimanded by MR-from-NG!

So I guess it makes sense . . . Viewpoint is the voice of Turkey!

Money,money,money

Postby cymart » Tue Nov 13, 2007 5:37 pm

As I wrote several weeks ago,if I cared about money I would not be living in this' half of an island' country as I could earn far more in many other countries with the experience and qualifications I have!
Whilst you are right in principle about Britains former Colonial policy of 'divide and rule' the world unfortunately works not according to laws of what is ethical and what is right and wrong on paper but according to things such as geo-politics and anyone who cannot understand that is likely to make tragic mistakes out of ignorance,Cyprus being a good example of how arrogant and often ignorant politicians have led it to its present predicament. What really amazes me is that these same people have nothing to tell us about how they plan to improve the situation here in future and instead keep digging-up the past, yet they still get votes! It is often said that a nation gets the leaders it deserves and if that applies to Cyprus today then I am truly sorry for the Cypriots because they are in a blind alley and going nowhere fast, yet seem unable to realise it or maybe don't care, just like the Russians under Putin who are a happy because the shops are full etc. in Moscow, regardless of what price they are paying in many other ways! When people finally wake up to reality it is often too late to do anything about it.....

This is exactly what I have been trying to tell people on this side for ages-time is not on our side or on the side of Cyprus but on the side of Turkeys plans....
